So i change string2string by Akelpad/i modify too, add some mats-syntax(old version of this forum had some my tests) No way - SkipyMan - renderman connection...i prefer free solution like sf or aqsis..

Hello. I would just like to suggest a small change to the "Layers States" behaviour which is for the plugin to ask if the user really wants to delete or update an existing layer state. As of the current version, the user can easily and MISTAKENLY update or delete a layer state which can be a devastating mistake. Just a simple confirmation message to update or delete a layer state would probably save a clumsy user's sanity. In any case, thank you very much Didier for this wonderful and indispensable plugin. Keep up the great work!

Merci, Didier. However, please try these files (change the .lmi.txt extension to .lmi). Layers 0, Blue, and Green have been setup via SU's Layer dialog. The Blue and Green geometry were moved to their respective SU layers; all others objects are assigned to Layer 0. Blue and Green configs were then defined via your Layer Manager Script. The Blue config only displays layer Blue. The Green config only displays layer Green. Issue A. See what happens when you apply green or blue configs when all layers are visible, then alternate between the existing configs. Restore a config ONCE and it will APPEND that restoration to the existing display. Next Restore the SAME config AGAIN and it will display the restoration correctly. I believe the samething happens when following the same routine using Restore-Show-Only. ====== Issue B. Now, via the SU's Layers Dialog add a new layer called Gold, select the gold geometry and move it to layer Gold. Make layer Gold the active layer and make all other layers invisible. Create a new config with the Layer Manager script called Gold. Repeat he routines mentioned in "Issue A" and also include Restoring Gold and Restore-Show-Only Gold. ======= Issue C. It is possible to display a blank line in the dialogs (such as the Delete or Restore dialogs). Regards, John TEST1.lmi.txt TEST1.skp

The new update is now under this topic. I am moving this longer, "discussion-like" thread "back" to the Ruby Forum - leaving only Didier's "final" post in the Ruby Depot to avoid misunderstanding (I myself was confused first when I couldn't find it agai...).

I edited the housebuilder_sections.txt file as described but the new values I entered seem to be ignored by the script. They don't show up on the selection menu. Thanks, Karl

Hi Didier, thanks for your message, very kind indeed! When uninstalling Sketchup I realised I had been putting all my plugin's into a different SU folder, namely directly into the SU folder from my Applications shortcut. I guess I had added a Plug-in folder when not seeing one there, silly me. I then went to the original folder through app support and realised where they were supposed to go. Beginner Mac mistake I guess. Many thanks again for your help. It works like a charm now!!! I ended up using the Triangulate rb. I use the TIG's to make a DTM (digital terrain model) for landscape design, rendering it with my drawings and then adding 3d features which I'll then make 3d sketches of as I still don't think SU does the job for presentation quality landscape design. just still feels too cheap. It's fine. Just found that Arc Circles + will create an ellipse much the same like the old plugin.

Didier has agreed that I might update some of his scripts in the PluginStore, so that they are compatible with v2014/2015. Please get the latest version of Munsell-Maker from the PluginStore http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=Munsell_Maker

Didier, TIG In ~80% of cases, I'd prefer the old way (originaledges stay selected). The updated version of the tool is also useful in some cases. It'd just perfect to grant 2 options in one tool via say single Alt hit (for new-born edges get selected). Or, even better TAB key for selection cycling: original\extruded\connecting edges

There are a pair of definitive downloads available for both the metric and imperial versions. I prepared these almost 7 years ago. https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=564448#p564448 Try getting and testing one of those... Remember all of this code is very old... and newer/better tools have been developed and are readily available if you search for them...

Boofredlay, Did you notice that the load is searching for a "Scripts" folder ? Do you have the rb's in the "Scripts" folder under "Plugins"? This have been made to keep things clean.

Hello all, I'm new to the board. I've been trying to learn rendering and would like to see su2pov work on the Mac with SU7. I have SU6 Pro but the latest version of su2pov ported to the Mac is 2.4 which apparently does not work on SU beyond ver 5. I thought I would work on the ruby script su2pov.rb that comes with the Windows version of su2pov (su2pov3.2) which does work with SU6 to see if I could modify that for the Mac OS, but unlike other ruby scripts I have seen, it is not a plain text file. Does anyone have any information about su2pov for SU7 OR a Mac version of su2pov3.2 OR any guidance as to how I can get a version of su2pov.rb (v3.2) that I can open in a text editor? Thanks, Rich
