This is absolutely fantastic.
Just to be able to verify quickly will be so useful.
Thanks so much and keep up the good work

RE: A Thread for Fine Design
Digging a little deeper, there are apparently a few fonts that have been in the works for dyslexia.http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=new-font-helps-dyslexics-read
And there seems to be a lot of research papers on Google Scholarhttp://scholar.google.ca/scholar?hl=en&q=fonts+for+dyslexia&btnG=&as_sdt=1%2C5&as_sdtp= -
RE: Website design for a client - home collection
Hey Richard
No problems with viewing here with Firefox on a Mac
A couple of thoughts:I may well be jumping the gun here, as you may still be at the point of using images as "Placeholders", I can see that is the case with text, so ignore me if I'm off base.
When I look at a page like Options,
the fact that there is no differentiation between images and text, or perhaps because the images are busy, they tend to dominate, and therefore make the whole page seem like there is too much to view. I find my eye just jumping around, and not coming to the conclusions that I am sure you want me to.
I don't know if it the translucency of the background images, the fact they are the same, or what exactly it is, but I get the feeling you want me to engage in a decision making process, through a series of steps, but I am not getting this communicated graphically.
Since I have always admired your ability to get things done with clean simplicity, I have no doubt in the end this will be a stellar site. -

Mike
This may well be one of the most important posts in this thread because it has the potential, through design, of changing lives.
An incredible find, and I will be passing it on, and hoping others will follow suit. -
RE: Thanks for your hard work - Moderators and Top SketchUcators
Just wanted to add my thanks, I'm behind the eight ball here, and just discovered this

I definitely would have become a premium member regardless, because of the incredible support I receive here.
Thanks so much. -
RE: Wallington
Haven't commented on your work lately, because it is always the same comment, "Great work".
I love the way you take scenes like this, probably commonplace where you live, and bring them to life for us. It is so much more that modeling and rendering, it is a snapshot of life in your part of the world.
Please keep it up John, and know I won't miss viewing any of them, even if I don't always comment.
Cheers to you. -

I just became aware of this company Huf Haus premanufactured housing.
C'mon Mr. Dale.... my favourite prefab company. From what I read, they had some potential clients in my country, (Romania) but they refuse to build here. It's something regarding the weather. I watched many times that episode from "grand designs" show, where they build the house in four days, somewhere in UK. Before they return to Germany, they clean the car and the tools. German people are awesome!!

I'll check the new site, thanks for the link.Yes I was quite surprised that I hadn't heard of them, so if your holding out on any other
secrets let us know

Time to inaugurate the new site.
I just became aware of this company Huf Haus premanufactured housing.[web 100%,100:2ocp1dft]http://www.huf-haus.com/en/home.html[/web:2ocp1dft]
A rather inspiring portfolio in this field, which in Canada is quite often associated with a trailer

RE: New sketchucation HERE @LAST
Sorry to be late to the party. The site looks and feels great at first use.I had hoped to have a chance to review it in Beta, but work took over.
Thanks so much to you all for the mammoth effort, I'm sure your relieved to have it up and running.

RE: Why does this intersection fail?
(Off Topic)
Another similar event is two long rectangles on same plane with a space between. Absolutely same plane. The rectangle tool will not fill the void. This can only be accomplished by drawing a line from corner to corner and erasing this line. Doesn't happen all the time, but happens often. -
RE: Why does this intersection fail?
Glad you posted this. Thought it was only me this seemed to happen to.

RE: Creating ruins (destructible structures)
Pay special attention to "groups", "components", and "layers", these are tools that will allow you to accomplish the collapse of structures without a lot of hassle.

the.pjt
There is something definitely wrong here, as it simply shouldn't have taken so long.
Have you posted this over on the Thea Forum?
I would bet your time could get knocked right back comparable to Vray, and that time would be time well spent. -
Push pull glitch?
I just noticed that when double clicking push-pull to have it repeat extruding to a previous dimension, the measurement doesn't come up in the Distance dialogue box. Is this normal or a glitch.
In this case I was push-pulling a truss group 1 1/2"

RE: Was Pythagoras Wrong ?
I just heard a lecture, where a philosopher used a similar analogy with food.
If you take your portion of food and split it in half, and then that portion in half, and on and on, then theoretically you will never be without food.
