I dunno about rendering it, that style suits a drafting table perfectly.

RE: Drafting Table Project
Beautiful job Dave! I love the storage for the extra legs. I'd love to have one of these, but haven't got a place to put it.

Bubba you are probably right.
Kevin with you posting about the number of posts, it seems like all you care about is attention. The backbone of this community is meaningful input. If you'd like to grow to become a really good modeler then this community is the best to help you get there.

Kevin, is English your first language?
Maybe this thread needs to be trashed and a new one started.
What do you think Kevin, you ready to start over? -

RE: *Yawn* Alternatives to SketchUp
I saw a video of that, kind of like autodesk's version of hypershot.
I'm interested in it, if it doesn't become vaporware. -

laying the smack down!
I agree with Plot, It really is a great added feature. No matter what voodoo you guys pulled off to get it to work.

RE: *Yawn* Alternatives to SketchUp
I wish someone would develop an interface plugin that allows blender to be used like sketchup. Maybe google should license their gui?

RE: All in a days work...
ok, Bubba I'm preloading the hate........................
11 hours isn't bad, probably only 8 actual hours though unless you can model for 11 hours without food or drink?

RE: Stuff Topic (Once "My Projects and W.I.P.s")
What is that you are presenting?
Forgive me for being rude, but it looks like a tombstone with an lcd clock on it...
Also for parking lots they are typically 9'x18' spaces with minimum 25' lanes in between. These cars might get stuck in this lot.It might be helpful to find reference photos to use as inspiration for that which you are modeling. Again, no offense is meant and if you'd like help this community is the best at teaching new techniques at all skill levels.
best of luck.

Top notch work, looking forward to the PR additions to this thread.
Amazing what you can get done in a day. -

This is off the Chain!
sorry couldn't stop myself from typing that.
I think you've nailed it. Maybe show a bit more of the chain. -
RE: Mr. Potato Head...
I think it would work fine. I've used sub/smooth plugin on some cartoon characters.

I think kwistenbiebel has a thread on an interior and an exterior in which he used the sub/smooth plugin on, and MonsterZero has a video on how he uses plain sketchup as a polymodeler.
I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with.
