Takuji,
Typically people upload a jpeg of their model, did i not give you enough time?
I can take it down if you want to replace it.

RE: CatchUp - Watercolor Tree
these are beautiful and are very useful.
i hope the "catchup" judges are willing to accept the fact that these can be considered as one "set".
excellent work. -
RE: CatchUp - Speakers
way to go jenujacob, and happy independence day!
i think working on objects like that helps me to better understand the underused tools in sketchup. very nice work! -
RE: T-twist table
tough question Gai, i think they just wanted to create some movement in the design.

RE: CatchUp - iPhone
Thanks Mike & Tom,
As you can tell Boo keeps his truck as clean as his models -
RE: CatchUp - iPhone
Biebel,
thank you for the tip and i do have a few more of these in the pipeline. I'm courting a graphic/industrial design firm for freelance work. so, i need some more experience with this type of modeling.
don't say those nice things about my modeling skills, this was the first real product i've modeled. Most of everything else has been Architecture.
I'm hoping to spread my wings a bit though. -
RE: CatchUp - iPhone
a guy just brought one in the office so i've got to update the model a bit.
i've been using maxwell for these. -
RE: CatchUp - iPhone
well, no comments... should i just stick to modeling architecture?
-
RE: CatchUp - iPhone
i don't have much experience at all modeling things like this so i thought i'd give it a go and see how it went. i learned when making things that are rounded in multiple directions that the "follow me" and "intersect with model" are valuable tools.

RE: I was wondering...
Well, I've never tried Kerky. There are some Kerky experts here though, they should be able to help.
I typically add trees in the rendering software, and I seperate larger projects by layer and import the layers seperately so that if the buildings change I can keep the site model, cars, etc. already textured up. Then isolate that Building layer and re-export it by itself and import into the rendering software.I got the idea from Jeff Jacobs discussing his workflow from Modo on that beach house he was working on. (in the old sketchup forums) Bringing it in seperated is a bit more work up front but it gives you flexibility later on.

RE: I was wondering...
what rendering software are you using?
I do this sort of thing in Maxwell and Artlantis. -
RE: Modeling back of screen question
ahhh, thanks guys.
that should do the trick. i was doing a push-pull copy and then scaling the end.
this should be much more smooth & accurate.
I'll put this up as a component soon as i finish.
