What you have is not the latest version...so you can get or the buttons loaded.
The Projection folder I have is dated 6 July 2009 and I downloaded the "Projection Patch" but I don't see any difference. What am I missing?
modelhead,
I don't think I could disagree with you more! I realize you have jillions of posts, but I, for one at least, browse the forum to see what's going on and to see if there are any new plugins that will make my job easier and/or better. My job depends on SketchUp.
When I see something that might be of value to me I try it out. If it shows promise, even if it's not quite finished, I try to find out what doesn't work and/or what I'd like it to do and post my responses.
I don't know how many plugins I have both from Smustard and from the incredibly talented forum posts from Whaat, TIG, thomthom, Foltz, Fredo, Fullmer, Bur, CadFather, Burch, Wilson, etc., etc.
And if folks like SHK want to clue me into some other source for a plugin, I'm all for it. I would never have known about 3skeng's Piping System Plugin if he hadn't posted the URL here.
I really don't see how this is "watering down" our forum.

I looked for the installed files and was trying the plugin moving them to different possible locations where SU could find them. I made a probe with another user account library, in documents folder like some rubys do, in the own SU folder plugin... I was reading the ruby and its needed files and all seems to be in the right place but I still get start up errors.
Where are the files/ruby located?

Could you please write me your components paths? Thanks
Coronel,
It just clicked on the 3skenglt for Google Sketchup 7.mpkg file.
I could not find out where the mpkg file installed the working files: definitely not in the plugins folder.
When you say you "manually" installed it, just what did you manually install??
Note this from the SHK website:
The installation of 3skeng does not work on my computer. What can I do?
We have tested the setup software and the 3skeng software very carefully. Nevertheless it is a new software and we may have not tested all possible configurations. If you are an registered user, please send us an email to support@3skeng.com with a description of the problem as detailed as possible. Clarifying screen shots are highly appreciated. We will help you as soon as possible!
I see all the buttons, but agree that the surface is not smoothed
I can verify the results of takesh h: It doesn't work if you put the necessary files in the usual place, but does work if you put them in the User Library.
The same is true for Profile Builder (for me, at least)
skin26.rb on iMac: sooooo useful in ducting construction and all sorts of other things!
Many, many thanks,christian_dl (and ThomThom)
Also looking forward to Chris' ruby

Bob do you use Sketchyphysics? I have had Mac users not be able to use their arrow keys if they have SketchyPhysics installed. And I can't remember if Chris fixed that issue.....?
No, I don't have Sketchyphysics installed on either machine.

Also, to test Jan's snippet there, you might open the Ruby Console and type in:
RUBY_PLATFORM
and see what it prints to the console. Copy and paste that back here.
See attachment.

Just to be sure. You have something selected, right?
Are you on Mac or PC? I dont have a Mac so I cant test if it works.
Yes, I had a simple rectangle (grouped)
I tried it on my iMac at home and on my MacPro here at work.
Latticeizer: What a really cool tool, TIG
I don't know what this thing is or what I'd ever use it for, but I know that modeling it would have taken a lot longer than the two minutes it took to make it with Latticeizer
Sorry to "muscle in" on your discussion ThomThom, but this was just too much fun to pass up.

Tried your JS Align: neat tool.
Tried your JS MoveTool: entered a value in the "Measurement" window, pressed enter, then tried all the arrow keys but nothing happened.
I just downloaded this plugin and it works fine on my MacPro.
In addition to Profile Builder I often use the "Convert Arcs, Circles, Curves and Lines to Cylinders" plugin. It has the advantage of being able to define a material, opt to make a the whole thing a group or make each tube a group, in addition to defining the diameter and precision. A neat plugin.
This "New Piping System Plugin" would be nice if it had some standard library of fittings.
I loaded just the basic plugins and all of the contents of the SCF Power Toolbar folder.
(eval):6094: compile error
(eval):4921: parse error, unexpected ',', expecting ')'
if (n1.between? (n2 - interval), (n2 + interval))
^Error Loading File cd_power_extension_m.rb

if (n1.between? (n2 - interval), (n2 + interval))
^Error Loading File cd_power_m.rb

Also it requests adding progressbar.rb, but that was already in Plugins.
The toolbar loaded. Tried bevel tool and it locked up SU with an error messsage "Expected Array"
Just to be sure: I put the folder SCF Power Toolbar 1.0 Beta in the plugins folder.
Should I have extracted the contents of the folder into the plugins folder?
Max,
I put SCF Power Toolbar 1.0 Beta in the Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins folder and the Power Toolbar did not load. I then tried it in /Users/robertjames/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins and it still did not load (I tried it here because Profile Builder only works if you put it in the users folder).
Do I need to do something else?

Thank you!! Those are great toolbars. Too bad they aren't all Mac-compatible

Hi Bob, go the website/downloads http://www.quarr-it.com - check out the video tutorials too
I did that. That's where I saw the toolbar and wondered where it comes from.
Max:
Where did this toolbar come from?
I have both weld.rb and pathcopy.rb and do not have the toolbar you show in your tutorial.
