    • RE: Music - which format is best?

      Hi Utiler
Which of the songs are quieter?
Are their quieter than others because of conversion?

I keep all my CDs in *.wav format (uncompressed...big files approx. 10x bigger than *.mp3), but if I need to convert to other formats or change the 'volume' level during conversion, I can always do that.

    • RE: Help printing

      Hi hangten1

      My steps...

      1. View Top
      2. Camera ->Parallel Projection
      3. Zoom Extents
      4. File -> Print Preview
        Try with my settings.
Scale 1:5 will fit on A4 page.
Scale 1:1 will need 995.3mm x 532.8mm page or you can print few views on few pages to get the truss in desired scale.
PS. I have PDF Creator installed to test any printing scale and page format available.

      Free Camstudio
      http://camstudio.org/
I like the handy capture function -> Region -> Window
Please note if you want to capture (in Camstudio 2.6c) 1680x945 YouTube 16:9 the size of the window should be 1px smaller = 1679x944
I'm not sure if the problem has been fixed in the 2.7 Version.

Use also Sizer to preset your preferred window size
      http://www.brianapps.net/sizer/
I use it also to test 'responsiveness' of mobile website themes.

      Hi Olishea,
      Thank you.
If some thickness is required I would start with Offset first...
      Offset + Push/Pull + Scale + Intersect with Selection πŸ˜‰

      Hi DMZStudio
What about this? SKP - attached
      Push/Pull + Scale + Intersect with Selection
You could use even more denser objects aka Equal-edge Goldberg Polyhedron

      PS. I have used the Goldberg/Clinton πŸ˜‰

    • RE: Complex roof modeling - need advice

      Hi Adam,

I would do all planes manually.
I have downloaded your file and noticed some discrepancies between elevations, plans and your 3D base - this is the first step to a disaster.

You need to stick to one element and I would suggest to follow your 3D base - use the elevations and plans to get the roof direction right.

Ignore eaves at the moment - you can extend them later.

PS. I have found one of the box levels to be too low and the roof planes would never 'meet' properly - see my plane in RED - SKP attached.

Download some SKP files from Google Warehouse.

I assume you have 2GB RAM not 2MB RAM.

      SUV should work, just try.
In the worst case scenario it wouldn't πŸ˜‰
