Hi Mike, Why don't you import your 3ds files straight into KT? AFAIK KT can handle xml, obj and 3ds files.

This must be similar to what my Grandmother always warned: "Don't cross your eyes 'cause they could stick that way!"

Thanks modelhead, I've just started with rendering, have a ways to go before I can put out the type of quality renders that I've seen posted here. As far as Indigo, maybe after I get more comfortable with Podium or Kerkythea I will try another rendering app. Mike

I bought a copy of VB6 Professional as I needed VB6 and it was no longer available elsewhere. It looked the genuine article, printing on CD, sleeves in case, code number. My son bought an update for his satnav, this was clearly copied software, plain case, hand written CD label. PeterCharles

Speaking of components (only) this edit > paint also has the advantage that all the instances of the same component will be changed - i.e. you don't need to paint them one by one (which is the case when you paint the outside of their context). Looking at your example pics, you may well have quite a lot of instances of the same components so this (even with entering to edit mode then aligning textures on some faces) can even be faster that painting them one by one. Note that this does not work with groups but I also suggest that if you have more than one instance of anything "groupable", make it a component instead both for the above reason and because this way you can keep file size smaller.

You can also set up the hide command with a shortcut. I use "H". Select the lines you want hidden and hit H. You can add/modify your shortcuts in: Window / Preferences. Select the Shortcuts category then scroll down to Edit/Hide.

Hi, just bought myself a HP9800 and I'm very satisfied with the quality. For less than $300.00 you can't beat that. It can print on 13x19.....I print my Cad drawings on 13x23 with no problem. I use XP but it's Vista Certified. Here's the link: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/18972-18972-236251-14438-3328075-439153.html?jumpid=oc_R1002_USENC-001_HP%20Deskjet%209800%20Printer&lang=en&cc=us Good luck shopping Rick

Hi folks. If the leg is a component, there is no need to explode it and loose all prooperties like gluing plane, cutting holes, its name, etc. Just go in Component Edit Mode and do the cutting and deleting inside the component. Exit the Edit Mode after all is done.

I agree... layers. And layer sets. As for images from SU, export larger than the size you are going to print/post and then resize. Your images will be much more clear.
