Hi, I have a licensing problem with ClothWorks. I had to format the pc without being able to release the license. After the new installation I entered the licenses of the paid plugins and ClothWorks tells me that I am using 3 licenses while in fact I only use 1 license. I don't have other PCs where I use ClothWorks. I need help resetting the licensing situation. Thank you very much

The license logs show 3 devices in use with the most recent validation occurring 8 days ago...

@rodman
Looks like it. The logs show this as what the user requested as address to send license to. Explains why it wasn't received....

Hi there,
I have another technical question.
If I want to draw a model of an inflated object without air ( only small bulbs left inside), like the ones in the picture. It’s much thinner comparing to the pillow example in instruction.
So which ones of the parameters do I have to adjust?
the Thickness of the object (Cloth tab —Thickness)
the bubble inside (?)
the slightly puffy edge (?)I have only used SketchUp for 3 months. And I was recommended Clothworks for this particular purpose. Or maybe it is not the best solution?
Please help.
Much appreciated.Yida

This is what I get...never be able to get it quite even
Or should I do the other way around, like draw a rectangle with thickness and then make the bubles separately? Use sandbox? But I tried sandbox, it can only create rectangle face not some puffy effect. I still want the most part of the object to look slightly puffy so it can be recognized as a flattened inflated object.

Thanks for the reply, so since I don't have release the licenses before formatting, nothing can be done? Did I get it right ? If this works I will be careful with the latest license actually in use (2021-10-08). However, the license of 2020-02-16 was of the old Laptop that I sold with only Windows 10 and the drivers installed while the license of 2021-05-25 is of the current Laptop that I purchased at the end of May 2021.
One last question, in case of hard disk failure or computer theft (I hope it never happens !!) I would also lose the last available license and I would be forced to buy it again ??? Many thanks for the help even if I think there must be a solution, you should be able to see if the license is actually in use on some pc and not rely on the installation. Only in this way do I consider it right to impose such a strict rule. Thanks -
Hello,
I bought clothworks some time ago but at some point I started having a problem with the license. I cannot find who to contact to solve this problem. Does anybody know?
thanks!

Firstly install the latest version of the SketchUcation Toolset from the PluginStore.
Restart SketchUp... any better ? ...
If not, then someone more experienced will post what to try next........ -
Yes, that was the first thing I did.
-
Did you try the steps in this parallel thread ?

Yes, that was the first thing I did.
So running the latest SketchUcation Tools and removing the signature from...
C;\Users\[YOURNAME]\AppData\Local\SCF Licenses
...still results in this error?
What does querying your license allocation return?
Is it the error message you get when you query?
The A-0C error means your computer name and the computer name in your signature file are not the same. So the license cannot be validated.
-
Ok, it is now active. The steps I followed:
- uninstall clothworks
- manually removed everything in SCF licenses folder
- reinstaled clothworks and validated license.
The only problem is that two of the 3 seats are taken when I only have one pc. (It's not actually a problem but I fear I'm going to have issues again and the seats will run out...
-
What would be good for us to know is how you arrived at this error?
It would seem you changed devices since the .scflicense file for FredoCorner detected that something changed.
Do you know what changed recently?
Also it is easy to release a license from a device to free up seats. You just need access to that device.

tbh I'm not sure but most probably it is the same pc that got upgraded. I don't remember ever installing it on a different device.

IIRC installations on the same hardware but for different versions of SketchUp is also counted.
