This already solved in your post on the SketchUp Community Forum but for others who come along, Follow Me by itself won't yield the results you're after. You should start with a circular path and scale the bottom to an ellipse. [image: YoMO_Screenshot-1_17_20189_59_23AM.png]

@whitelock said: (i have had podium for years and always just take it with me from one sketchup version to another) Maybe this is your problem. That's generally not a good thing to do because there are often changes made between SketchUp versions that require extensions to be updated. It is best to install all extensions fresh from the source when upgrading to a new SketchUp version. At least try that and see if it helps.

Could you add this part to the vid? Thanks in advance Yes It would be a solution to use the JPP. But the toplogy is distorted. [image: KTpm_1.JPG] [image: VhdV_2.JPG]

@slbaumgartner said: @sketch3d.de said: Installing SU v2017 again should fix this behaviour anyhow. Although that should work, you really shouldn't need to do an reinstall, just to fix up the "file association". See, for example https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-change-file-associations-in-windows-2624477 It works only in theory. In practice, Windows always opens with the latest exe. @Liam: you should download appropriate file version (<= 2017). then right click on file icon and choose open with Sketchup 2017. Alternatively, if you are not buying v2018, just uninstall it.

I tried, but I feel this tapering more difficult for 3D printing (to have thickness & solid). Nice looking as a sketch anyway. And these tools are good. Or perhaps I did not find right procedure yet?

Hi As Dave said, I cleaned (redid) the geometry first (using the axes for the circles or arcs), then clarified the dimension of the inner arc to adjust the texture size exactly to this dimension, assuming that's your intention (?). In addition, I separated the outer concrete shell from the inner (to become painted) surface to get easier access to this face. For texturing I used Fredo6´s ThruPaint plugin then. To make this entire procedure much easier, this can happen at a short section instead of the whole length of the tunnel [image: zzSF_TunnelTestHX.jpg] Tunnel Test HX.skp

Very likely this is due to incorrect installation. On Windows, correct installation of SketchUp involves right clicking on the installer EXE and selecting Run as administrator. Did you do that? If not or you aren't sure, do it now. If you don't use Run as administrator from the context menu during installation, you can get all sorts of strange results. Note: simply being logged in as administrator is not the same thing.

Yes, it's odd. I did find there is a Utilities plug in that includes create face and a query tool. The query tool seems to get it correct. I don't think you can capture the data and label the drawing with it, but it does display the xyz coordinates. We didn't get much interest in this topic. I would have thought many would have a problem finding locations in space. Pat

Yes! I thought that I checked it, but I probably looked from too far away so that the dotted blue line over the sand texture looked like solid... Now when checking afterwards the dotted line really looks quite solid over sand. Thanks!

Hi Guys thank you so much for your thoughts. The 1940's bar requiring the "scars' and nuance of a war effected economy and the sketchup forum link (with some interesting suggestions that may have merit) and little big house ( I need to research that) all sound really interesting and I hope the inspire and challenge others. Thing is I failed to communicate my thoughts well at all I am trying to build a portfolio and gain experience in Architectural Visualisation. So am looking for a brief in that sphere. Atm I am plagiarising other peoples architectural concepts and putting my own spin on it or designing out of my head and working with spontaneous variations and atmospherics. My most successful stuff has been watching a movie and finding an image within the movie that inspires, and doing a model/render trying to recreate and putting a spin on it that makes it mine. But without referencing that image further than my original mental snapshot (see attached image as an example of a mental screenshot from "The Martian 2015) The result looks very different from the inspiring screenshot once I referenced it on completion of the render, As I added people and changed it to look more contemporary. Sorry about the ramble but that was my way of giving ideas for inspiration to others. And in light of that asking for other ideas/brief/conceptual start point specifically something that may impress Architects requiring an architectural visualisations, especially building exteriors. Any further input and ideas welcome. OK I just read that back and it sounded a bit Blah... Blah....Blah. Hope it is understandable to others [image: Ie2x_HiTechRoom1.png]

It's important to note that doing that is different from just logging in with administrator privileges. @unknownuser said: Never value the Teeths of a horse givin to you for free! We have that, too. An update for anyone wanting to create a ’Catalogue’ of skp thumbnails using Mootools 3d Browser. It may not be the best process but it works just great for my requirements. Open directory of thumbnails in Mootools Print to OneNote Save resulting Print file as a PDF Thanks to JuJu for reminding me that I have Mootools.
