Could you open the Ruby console before launching Animator, especially for the files where the animation does not work.
There may be errors there, wroth reporting.
Thanks
Fredo
You can associate a positioner to a Film.
Click on the Film name
a dialog box will appear where you can associate the Positioner to the film

Hello Fredo, I'm using Vray Next 4.20 on Sketchup 2019 with Animator with Animator v3.6a on a LibFredo6 v12.5a.
I have an issue rendering an animation with your animator plugins (which I believe are the latest versions at the moment) the rendering always stops at 20-30%...ALWAYS. Its been really confusing because it renders a normal box well with Vray but when I want to render my project which is like 6mb in size or less it freezes at that 20% range. Please what could be the issue?
PS I had the same problem on Vray 4.1 also. Looking forward to your reply. Cheers
Rendering of long animation has always been a problem with VRay, because it requires a lot of resources.
What is average time to generate a frame when rendered by VRay?

They recently added the search function to top of asset editor for this reason. You can search both the preset material library and materials in scene. I would like to see more organization for materials, such as grouping. But until then, the search function makes life a lot easier.
Thank you GD3Design for your answer. Yes that group function would be a lot of help.
Cheers
Hi rspierenburg,
Thanks for your comment. This is the plugin I am using at the moment.
I was wondering if there might be something else less glitchy.

As an up date to this, I have just made another test video from the same animation but just a 1.5 second clip with about 80 frames, and it saved ok in the correct output folder. The MOV and MP4 files have saved fine. (All the PNG files vanished again but thats not a problem if the video file has saved).
Thanks to confirm it now works.
The elapsed time is shown after a few frames so that there is a base for an empirical estimation. It is adjusted as the generation of frames goes on.
You will have to learn more about how Vray works. Like here mentioned first try with Chaos YT channel and go through their Sketchup tutorials, you will learn a lot.
This one I find great for beginners, https://youtu.be/IicE5MZPLkk
Ah, I just spotted this in the documentation:
"...Animator is designed to support rendering for Animations (films, clips and sequences). Rendering software current supported are:
VRay, v3.40.04 but NOT Vray 3.6: From Animator..."
Does animator only support version Vray v3.4?
