    like cornerbar, er, clubhouse?

    b

ps - for newbies, there's a forum called CornerBar, and a model that goes with it.

How about simply deleting the specific view and making a new one and linking in the new model? If it's just the one or two places it won't take more than a couple of minutes.

Yeah with the work I do in Layout with logos it's a desperately missed function! I seriously mean missed.

We've found two instances of extra slow rendering with vector, and I'll point out one and we're working on fixing the other.

If your view in LayOut only has a tiny bit of geometry, but yet there's a large (geographic area of model not shown), you do render all of the model and it can be slow. Dave R helped us find this, and we're looking at how this happens but no workaround other than to have you move items that aren't geolocated closer to each other, or possibly do them in separate models and include all of them in LayOut separately.

An edge issue in vector, which we're testing fixes for, that can cause some models. A user in our Google support forums provided us a test file which we were able to analyze. We'll keep you posted on how this goes and if it helps.

Unlike raster images, the vectors aren't cached and are re-rendered, so even without these issues, you still may get slow rendering. We are currently working on making updates to models be less painful when updated in LayOut.

Does the white line show up when printing from the PDF viewer?

No it doesn't. So I'm guessing export to pdf is the answer. Or getting the printer guys out! Suppose this is a good workaround, albeit adding a few extra seconds to the workfklow and a few more megabytes to the project folder.

Thanks your your comments and help, really appreciate it. πŸ˜„

Mate as Gaieus suggests it isn't possible.

However there is a simple workaround - LO has a great feature of retaining information set outside the page bounds (which has some very handy reference aspects). So you can simply flick between landscape and portrait under document setup and export your pages individually to suit which are set L or P.

I'm exporting Hybrids Vector/Raster from layout and I get a good file when I export, the textures come through in the form of a large png file, however when I try to XRef these exports into other drawings I'm getting a "Failed to Merge ISM Image Dictionaries" error.

at which point only vectors come in and I'm forced to separately import the graphics and scale and attach them as best I can...

has anyone else run into this? I looked it up online and found only one post at Autodesk saying the error was caused by a full temp folder or low system resources., but that was not the case for me.

    anyone ran into this?

    Hi,

Thank you so much to both of you! It was indeed a matter of style update I guess...

I had to re-apply my color by layer style in Layout after the import.

Thank you so much for replying so quickly!

    It's a GREAT community! β˜€

Can you PM a file to me and I'll take a look? Inferences show up? If you get an inference, then it should go to model space.

Regarding Country Blueprint, can you verify that the font you downloaded has the right to embed? We've had customers who get a font and think they're good, but if the font isn't licensed properly (to allow export), it wont work.

Does anyone know how to control the dpi resolution by entering numbers (e.g. 270 dpi, 250 dpi, 200 dpi) when exporting jpegs and hybrids from layout?

Once you set the save location and file name for the exports, you'll get a window that gives you the settable options.

I helped Bill out via e-mail, and we're getting this a lot, so please consider:

What's the intent of exporting to AutoCAD? If it's for someone to take the drawings / geometry and redo the documents in 2D in AutoCAD, then:

Vector render all of your model views. Render in model space to appropriate scaling (on the menu when you export). Open in AutoCAD or TrueView and look at model space - it's black lines on black background, so sometimes switching to Layout 1 view (paper space) will help you see what's there. Definitely export to 2007 if he's 2008. You should be able to test a 2D export that's vector rendered to model space SketchUp. SketchUp however wont render any text and a few other things, and will not handle a model exported to paper space. You'll also notice it's just vectors, and if you want to make it 3D, you'll have to complete faces. Trying to guess where you want faces from edges is left to the mindreaders.
