So LayOut 2019 hasn't changed since 2019 so you need to look at what has changed on your computer. Maybe it's a Windows update or maybe a graphics driver update. Go to the website of the graphics card manufacturer and get their latest drivers for your card install them and see if you see a difference. You wrote that you reinstalled SketchUp and LayOut. Did you use the latest version of 2019 from sketchup.com/download/all? Did you right click on the downloaded installer and choose Run as administrator? If you didn't do that now and if prompted, choose Repair. BTW, your profile says you are using 2017 Make. Please correct/update your profile.

For anyone who comes along and wonders if it was fixed. There was an update released on 27 May, 2020 that fixed the problem. The release notes. Or note.

Hi, I used to have the same issur running the plugin "advanced camera tools" You can solve it in going to your plugin and click (on the scene in sketchup): "clear the aspect ratio and returns to the default camera"

I hope you might have figured out the problem since it's been a long time I'm answering, I don't what the issue is, but there is a solution available, you can go to "Print tab - print as a file - choose the path - Print" you'll get the PDF file. Thank You.

When you installed SketchUp/LayOut 2019, did you right click on the installer and choose Run as administrator? If not or you aren't sure, quit out of both SketchUp and LayOut, find the installer (Downloads folder?) right click on it and choose Run as administrator from the Context menu. Then when presented with the option, choose Repair. Make sure you have logged into Windows under your normal user, not as the system administrator. @unknownuser said: Also, is there some quick way to migrate my workspace from 2018 to 2019, so I don't have to position every icon manually? Unfortunately not at this time. It is a feature that has been requested, though. Perhaps in an upcoming version we'll see it. When I get ready to migrate to a new version (I've done it 19 times and on multiple computers) I make screen shots of the entire workspace of the previous version for both SketchUp and LayOut so I can see where all the toolbars are located. Then I import the screen shot into the new version so I can refer to it while setting up the new version. As Juju implied, do not copy extensions from a previous version into your new version. Install them fresh from their sources.

@jga said: @pbacot said: So SketchUp changed and now ACAD tags files... It's not aimed at SketchUP users in particular, it's people using the "free" student version of AutoCAD in a business environment. There was a spell that Autodesk didn't use the watermark, but they are back with the 2019 version of AutoCAD. Well it seems to be targeting anyone making dwg files in some non-AutoDesk software. OH I thought it was caused by later SU versions. In the explanation someone said "save it as 2013". They mean save it as ACAD 2013 dwg, I guess, which is a good precaution. Otherwise your consultants will believe you are using a student version of AutoCAD.

As I wrote before, the issue is known to the LO team and it's in the pipeline for a fix. As a work around, you could use Raster rendering and export at highest output quality or you could manually make extensions. Neither is ideal but until a fix is released, there's not much of an option.

I originally brought them in from an autocad file. I just created one from scratch and it still does it. The bizarre part is that it works fine in the scrap book file.

Does the line have the "starting/ending arrowhead" style set to the "overrun" arrowhead? Change the arrowhead settings on that line or set the arrowhead size to 0 pts.

My "Layers" Trey/Panel is always missing. My workaround is to maximize window - green button top left of screen - and then the Trey/Panel appears. I then resize the screen again. I have to do this every time I open the file.

@marcdurant said: Among other minutia, looks like the library we're using to import .XLS files doesn't properly handle some aspects of locked cells. Thanks for your help identifying the issue, and keep an eye out for maintenance releases. -m Hi Marc, When will we be able to reference a password locked Excel file into Layout? I tried again after the SU2017proM2 release but no luck...

Thanks Baz, As far as Sketchup are concerned it is a known bug - I just got this email from Yogesh in the Sketchup team: *Hi Sam, Thanks for your note. We have two other post with the same issue https://forums.sketchup.com/t/layout-scenes-and-scale-nightmare/34813 https://forums.sketchup.com/t/sketchup-2017-scenes-not-working-as-expected-in-layout/34210 And as mentioned by Marc in https://forums.sketchup.com/t/sketchup-2017-scenes-not-working-as-expected-in-layout/34210/11 we are working on a fix. Please check the release notes for the future maintenance releases of 2017 for official word that it's been fixed and also subscribe to the about forum posts for any further updates . Please reply to this email if you need further assistance with this specific issue. Regards, Yogesh The SketchUp Team at Trimble Inc.* Marc's (from Sketchup) post said the following: This is a bug related to the graphics refactor. It will affect scenes that don't save one or more of these settings: camera, shadow, axes. We've got a fix in progress! I've been advised by DaveR and Sonder that scenes should be used for every viewport which I'm looking into and testing on some current projects - thanks again for your advice on the other thread DaveR and Sonder. Sonder - I bought your book too. Some great templates, resources and tips in there and some new working methods for me to test out - thank you.

@bramleyapple said: Any news on this re bug fixing. I can't bring any of my models into Layout as they end up with black pixels around them. I'm on a Mac. Not yet. So far Apple and the GPU makers haven't announced an update. The SketchUp and LayOut teams are still trying to come up with a work around solution but they haven't released anything yet.

Try exploding the image, it may be part of a block in the DWG file. There is also a Texttofront command.
