I hope that the Free Cryengine 3 is available soon (it was said it was going to be released this month). It can export/import sketchup models... Do you imagine yourself walking in these structures in real time?

Got sidetracked again.........but had a little time this week. This is a very large house - an estate type adaptation of a flw plan from 1912. I really liked the scale / massing / siting and decided to play a little with it. I know that's blasphemy in some circles - but it really wanted it as an exercise to test some modeling/rendering techniques in su. [image: Y9tX_FLW_1912_sc-10A-comp.jpg]

Guess it can't be helped. Upon close examination, because the ground plane is sloped down, her head is above the middle ground people. You could change this with photoshop prior to placing your building into the photo, but then that would be a distortion of the real view. Is it worth the effort to get another photo without any foreground people? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Hello Roger, Pete The "flat roof" is not really flat. Its a low slope #30lb felt roof which will be tilted away from the house. At 1/4"per foot in 12' about 3". So a gutter and down spout will be in the leading eadge south and west. The challenged is not necessarily making the details work functional but make them look good also. I may abbandoned the l-shape and go back to the rectangualar 16'x20' and make it a hard top, however the L-shap had shorter spans. Then maybe incorporate the fire pit. dunno??? There are many examples of flat roof and uncovered balconys done in the midweast (house in Chicago). And an update....more ideas pondering before I get serious Thanks, [image: 2UcA_porch1.JPG] [image: 79J1_suhart2800.jpg]

[image: AeES_Red_Robin_Mc_Univ_5th_sail_Final_sm.jpg] This view actually projects the feeling of cool shade in 115 degree F weather.

Thanks! I'm not completely sure if I'm gonna paint these ones or make them in Maya then texture there. This is purely concept right now. I'm totally excited about the abilities we get from the static meshes in Unreal it'll let us run something like this with total ease. A further update. Though not shown in the picture this model is on a purvama or a floating island. This structure is right on the edge of the island and the water is pouring off the edge. Still a lot I want to change and add but this is a lot better then the first picture as I look back. Any ideas for the bridges to the right and left that go over the water would be really nice, I always have trouble with them. [image: untitled0-1.png] Thanks!

[image: Fygz_Master_Hood.jpg] This is what the draw from the fender and hood die should look like when removed from the vacuforming process. This is the right and left units before being cut apart. The flares at the bottom are to guide the model makers knife and grinding tools. Any bets on how well this will work?

Hey. Been a little less active the past week or so as I try to line up some work. I have been trying to use SketchUp to do a few concepts for a Flash studio I use to work for. Here is a monitor concept, a couple of frames of a rotating gold coin (I did 12 positions in Kerkythea but only low setting as my PC went to sleep on the better ones) and a safe. Be back tomorrow to catch up. [image: O3wD_recent.jpg]

Well, well, look who´s back! @coremaster110 said: good luck finishing it tho. Thanks, Karl! The reference on the 18s seems to be a little thin, I´m going to need all the help I can get.
