Thanks for the comments, guys. This is based on my own tiny house. I like the basic arrangement inside, but the 800 SF is a bit too confining at times (especially for a book lover). The fascia is 6". I'm debating on wether or not to add gutters. In studying the prairie style, I noticed the fascia on some appear rather thin in relation to the building. The reflective tape is a really key element when trying to work in bright sun. Here in Arizona it is almost always bright sun.

Actually I changed the color too I don't have a problem with giving credit, but with only a few edges of the original remaining someone will take a look at it and see "original model by...." and think "oh, this is just a rehash of somebody else's work, probably just added a radio knob or something". Oh well, I'll probably never get around to finishing the thing anyhow, it was just an interesting distraction for awhile. I'm back to my real love - my oldies. Cars with class and character that will still be remembered long after the stuff they are stamping out nowadays have joined the computer junk yard heap. (old man rant now concluded) Actually, to me, the classic cars are much more challenging to model well because they are so well known and everyone knows just how they should look, so your work has to be much more accurate. And let's face it, when you're creating something that only exists in your head, how is anybody going to know if it's true to what you were trying to make, for all they know you meant to make a toaster and it came out looking like a car (or visa versa) Well, thanks for your inputs, much appreciated as always.

I hope that the Free Cryengine 3 is available soon (it was said it was going to be released this month). It can export/import sketchup models... Do you imagine yourself walking in these structures in real time?

Got sidetracked again.........but had a little time this week. This is a very large house - an estate type adaptation of a flw plan from 1912. I really liked the scale / massing / siting and decided to play a little with it. Guess it can't be helped. Upon close examination, because the ground plane is sloped down, her head is above the middle ground people. You could change this with photoshop prior to placing your building into the photo, but then that would be a distortion of the real view. Is it worth the effort to get another photo without any foreground people? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Hello Roger, Pete The "flat roof" is not really flat. Its a low slope #30lb felt roof which will be tilted away from the house. At 1/4"per foot in 12' about 3". So a gutter and down spout will be in the leading eadge south and west. The challenged is not necessarily making the details work functional but make them look good also. I may abbandoned the l-shape and go back to the rectangualar 16'x20' and make it a hard top, however the L-shap had shorter spans. Then maybe incorporate the fire pit. dunno??? There are many examples of flat roof and uncovered balconys done in the midweast (house in Chicago).
