Do not copy this step. The geometry is wrong. Good example of how I mess up a lot before I get it right. Go further down. Final steps for main rough out. It's just fiddly detail add-ons after this. Well this was not as easy as I thought it would be. For some reason SketchUp was fighting me and many lines had to be redone several times. It also took time for me to figure out the curves. [image: ft4t_junjiokubochassis28.jpg] [image: MBgE_junjiokubochassis29.jpg] [image: fpAM_junjiokubochassis30.jpg]

BTW, I've uploaded the model to the 3D Warehouse. Search for it under Junji Okubo.

I'll come back to this at a later date. I've lost my motivation to finish it. Need to model something else to "shake it up" as it were.

Changed seats. The anti-grav pods are the circular disks on the bottom. [image: noeI_antigravpertransport10.jpg]

Is your second HDD built in or is it networked or connected in some other possibly intermittent connection. The most common reason for corrupt files is saving your file to anywhere that isn't totally local, even a local folder that syncs to dropbox/one drive/network etc has the potential to kill your file. Basically a file can try to sync while it is trying to save, causes a clash and your file is effectively gone. So make sure you save locally and sync/backup manually.

@unigami said: Thanks! I'm happy to share it...I put a copy of the .skp in my public Dropbox folder. You can download it here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3842145/snow-trac_final.skp Hello, I just discovered this thread, very good work! I want to scratchbuild a 1:48 scale Snow-Trac model but can't find any good plan or blueprint, only bad drawings in original manuals Do you still have your original sources used for building this sketchup model? Or please could you share it again (your file is no longer available after 8 years...), it would be better for seeing all the details you put in it? Many thanks in advance, keep up the good work! Phil

Looks like a good rendering. It isn't my model of the engine, though.must be one made by someone else.
