DoorMaker was written in 2007 for Google SketchUp. The thread shows an update suitable for Sketchup 2014. I am using the last freestanding 2017 version. What must be updated for me to use DoorMaker? I am a savvy woodworking; not a ruby programmer. Help please? WoodChipz newby (sorta)

...I should add that it would be fun to try to make those modifications myself (assuming the approach is valid). A fair while back I had started teaching myself Ruby and made a couple of super simple plugins for my own use. Then I got busy with paid work and dropped the effort. I've probably forgotten much of what I had learned, but I have been meaning to get back to it — and this might be a fun re-entry (especially since most of the work is already done).

nothing of that sort exists. in windows, you may be able to hide the title bar of the palettes. Anton S window setting was able at this - really great plugin - you may want to try https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=ams_WindowSettings i used to do it years ago in win 7, you may need to do a google search. you can also look for autohotkey scripts that will do that. autohotkey can work with specific windows classes so you can affects only the desired palettes and not the main window. lastly, all of this stuff i used to do it before the 'tray'. no idea how that all works now.

Wow, thanks. I need to hang out here more. It looks like I'm still hitting snags. The X/30° param would have to apply to the obtuse conditions, not acute conditions. It doesn't appear to be culling the right edges in some circumstances, and it's terminating early. Regardless, thanks for giving me something to tinker with at some point. Thanks sdmitch, used your code snippet to convert components to groups for MSPhysics. The reason is that MSP does not accept components for coupling with joints. The conversion of about 200 components with subcomponents into groups would have taken a long time...

Because each time I launch SU (SU2015 Make or SU8) I have errors like "Error Loading File C:/Users/PC/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2015/SketchUp/Plugins/pv_sketchytetgentools/pv_sketchytetgentools_class_loader.rbe" etc. I haven't found any information about this plugin on the forum. So I post here and hope someone might help with my installation problem. Cheers.

First of all thanks for this great tool! but unfortunately I haven't got it to work with sketchup 2017 pro. Hey guys has any one tried installing this recently? are there any tricks to it? it just says failed to install virtual wind plugin.
