I wish text to image did not exist but there is no doubt but grudgingly these images are very impressive. I feel the skills a lot of us have devoted our skills to learning how to model and render are almost redundant. But that felling will be felt by many. Doctors, lawyers, musicians and admin etc Jus saying. What others feel about AI

Sorry, not funny... not one gosh-doggoned bit funny. from http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=8c130fe3-adab-4cb3-8443-c363f085cf13&p=1 At one point, the council asked him about the legality of banning group homes--such as shelters for runaways--a position Palin championed. Deuser had an academic manner and was fond of citing Supreme Court precedent. When he explained that a ban would be unconstitutional, Palin appeared impatient with such legal niceties. "I would describe it this way: Sarah was not an in-depth person. Never has, never will be," Deuser says. "Her instincts are political as opposed to evaluative." Though council members routinely bickered with one another, Palin became defensive when she was on the receiving end. "Sarah is intimidated, in my personal opinion, by people who are intelligent," Laura Chase says. by Noam Scheiber

@bellwells said: ... You guys in Europe have such great looking bars. The buildings are wonderful and cozy. I'm jealous. This one is still the property of the Chapter of the cathedral in my town. It used to be the cellar of the chapter's granary in the 18th century and though the granary was later pulled down, they kept the cellar for obvious reasons They have some serious competition however because the bishop (in another 18th century building, in his castle) "runs" another wine cellar, too. But that's mainly for the tourists and this "ours' is for the local folks. And yes,the atmosphere of these old places rules! They are still from the time when the bishop was the landlord of the town and he was the only one who had right to keep pubs (obviously rented them out like today and was not selling wine himself )

Watch this guys. 'The Century of the Self' produced by Adam Curtis for the BBC. In this documentary (one of the best ever created) Adam Curtis procedes to layout the narrative and creation of the 'Consumer Society' from Freud to PR (and its relationship to Propaganda) to today's party political systems' complicity involvement in media game. It is a astounding piece of work. http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?q=century+of+the+self&emb=0&aq=f#

Thanks, Alan. You brought up a good point about using it on my laptop, too, and its portability.

Magic! A sightly better educated guess might be that they used some sort of face recognition software to find the actors face and replace it with obama/mcain.

Well, Bruce, whatever your intentions are/were, with your words you have been accusing us for spreading spam. ok. after this discussion subsided in the end (well, after 18 pages), I can't resist starting another one. in fact, this is a question that I haven't entirely answered myself and therefore would like to hear your thoughts about it...

And I want your president (hell, any leader at any level in any country) to be smart enough to understand that 'respect' is not even close to 'fear'.

@unknownuser said: Are the millions of immigrants trying to break down the gates to Ireland, or the UK, or Germany, for that matter? Absolutely they are. It's one of the hottest topics in any European country at the moment. Every truck entering Britain has to be scanned by radar and have CO2 detectors inserted; and they're still getting in in their thousands....Iraqis, Afghans, Albanians...you name it. Link @unknownuser said: It was also billions upon billions of US dollars that helped rebuild and protect western Europe, and Japan, following the war. I have to check this fact, but I believe that Europe has not repaid most of what the US spent to help rebuild after the war. No I haven't forgotten the very generous gesture of Harry Truman after the war. But we paid back every cent of it...and much of that aid was exacted at a very high price in both money, territory and technology...and an ageement to switch the gold standard from the pound to the dollar, which the US then levered to huge advantage after the war. Britain only stopped paying for it in 2006. As for being jealous, guess again. It would actually be financially advantageous for me to move to the US, as the company is based in California, the other directors are there...and I'm paid in dollars every month and so lose money in the currency conversion. I have nothing against either America or the American people; they are extremely generous and friendly and the scenery is tremendous (well, I might make an exception in the case of Oklahoma), but I just prefer it where I am.

Because of Obama's inexperience in governance, I think it would be a smart move for him to announce his cabinet members, or at least the "major" ones, like Sec. of State and Defense.

Hmm, i guess its not for everyone. although id urge you to give it another go, i cant remember putting any complicated parameters in. also, try VMWARE, it emulates an entire pc inside your linux os, (so you just allocate it a few gb of your HDD, and then install xp to that)

Joe is appearing on Fox tonight. I would guess Joe would not campaign with McCain (hey, that rhymes!). So the main stream liberal media has been camped outside Joe's door just waiting to pounce and trip him up. Whey the hell didn't they camp outside Ayers' door in their unbiased quest for news.

Yea I saw this on a CNN video What's the power consumption to light output ratio. It would be cool for instance to have an entire ceiling made up of this material with the inclusion of light sensors and then only the portions that are in an area that is too dark would illuminate.
