I am currently changing over from a windows environment (that I have been working in since Rls 3) to a Mac pro with the most current version of Yosemite. Forgive me if I don't know a lot about Macs..it's all new to me. It's a pretty nice setup..dual video cards, 6 core processor, 24 gig of RAM...while I am getting pretty comfortable with the Mac O/S so far I have been having other issues with some software like Sketchup. I loaded 2015 for Mac, and I was starting to work on an new project. When I would choose a tool, like the tape measure, or the push pull, when I clicked on the tool icon the cursor would change to the appropriate icon but then the second I would go to use the tool it would change back to a black arrowhead. The tool would function normally.. I was able to take a measurement, and extrude a wall..and when I hit space bar it would change back to being select. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. Previously to this in the drawing I had imported a .DWG and had just finished erasing the parts I didn't need and tracing over some lines to turn walls into faces. All that time the tools worked perfectly and the cursor icons showed up normally... then all of a sudden it started to not show the icons when a tool was being used. I saved and quit the drawing, quit Sketchup and reopened it and it was doing the same thing. It was late Friday afternoon so I didn't try a system reboot.. I just shut it down and went home.... I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this..

Embedding 3D Models from the warehouse
Hello everyone
I am trying to embed private models from the 3D warehouse using the embed feature. I keep getting a white box with an error message "There was an error displaying the model: [object Object]". Does anyone know if you can use the embed feature with private models, or if there's some kind of workaround? Thanks These models can't be public.. -
RE: 911 Mcnuggets
At least she got arrested for it...It's about time the authorities started cracking down on these stupid people that don't understand what an "emergency" is. -
RE: 1962 Fender Stratocaster Body
Wow....that tremolo bridge is amazing! Looks like a very accurate model and the render is pretty nice for a "quick". This model is going to be ridiculous once you put all the pieces together.
Really amazing work! -
RE: 1962 Fender Stratocaster Body
I figured you had to be working from some sort of a dimensioned plan..the details are too accurate to be just guessing from looking at a picture. All the other guitars you listed would be great to model...I love the older PRS's....and the SG has always been a favorite. As far as a hollow body, maybe something from the Gibson ES family?

RE: 1962 Fender Stratocaster Body
Wow...super nice work. These are turning out to be very accurate detail wise. Can't wait to see it finished. Are you working from plans, an actual strat body or just photographs?
Linea I would love to see your rick model...I have been looking for some really highly accurate guitar models to use in studio and stage renders. Most of what I find on the warehouse and FF is OK but too angular, and lacking simple details...and I am not skilled enough to model them myself! You really have the curves worked out nice on this strat! Great work!

RE: Welcome to my world
Yes this scene reeks of Stinkie! Dark, barren, peeling wallpaper, the tile looks dirty, and the model and table are somewhat obscured by the darkness. It looks like someone stole a fine architectural model of a building and are hiding it in a low rent housing project, with very little lighting!
Cool render Tom... definitely strikes a mood....like I need to go look for my anti depressant medication..

RE: Funny but sad....
Wow....a tiger never changes his stripes....
Nice posting Ron. That video was ridiculous...it is so obvious that it was purposefully edited to make Obama voters look stupid...I'm sure there were correct answers that got edited out. And to be totally honest I found it to be racist and offensive...from the "chanting" African sounding music to there choice of where they interviewed people it is pretty clear that the creators of this video were trying to make the point that Obama was elected by unintelligent uninformed African Americans. The only thing missing was some "Dueling Banjos" faintly playing in the background. I would never post a link to that video with my name next to it thats for sure....
I wonder what the results would have been if they interviewed some of the thousands of Obama supporters at a university? Am I supposed to think from watching this video that the McCain supporters know all the answers to those questions? I highly doubt it...And because the people they interviewed couldn't answer the questions they should loose their right to vote?
