You can leave the plough at home, a hair dryer would probably suffice now.

Funnily enough, I have been looking into teaching in college, I have done some teaching before. But I don't think outsourcing will disappear, if anything it might increase as the redundany rate rises - for some companies it's cheaper to outsource than pay for pensions, insurance, training, new software.

The 'delete all board cookies' link in the bottom right of the board might do it as well.

Personaly 'bondage' to government that people voted for is better than 'bondage' that would happen to any other powers that be without representation. Remember modern government came from feudal serfdom. Which do you think is worse? Oh I forgot the US has rather short memory. I can never understand this blind devotion to private enterprise. Even Adam Smith warned against the dangers of unfettered private enterprise. If you ever get to watch the documentary it is pretty conclusive that financial institutions abuse of 'securitization' are to blame for the current financial crises.

Seems we're all in agreement. I think I'm going to respond to this potential client with some terms of my own, and see how it goes. Ultimately, whilst I'd like to do the work, it won't be the end of the world if I decide to walk away from it. Once again, thanks for all the insightful and helpful responses. A.

frightening! I was really scared of that spider when it didn't stop going after my cursor. probably the best training to overcome arachnophobia...

Ahhh NO! He looks and sounds like a fun guy

I dropped about 10 pounds in 48 hours a couple of weeks ago. Trust me, though. You don't want to do it that way.

@double espresso said: Hey, There's a chance I will be designing a movie that is shooting in South Africa. We will be based out of Johannesburg or Durban. If this happens I'll need to crew an art department, specifically set design/draftspeople with experience in set construction. Any leads would be appreciated. Thx. Sounds like a lot of fun. I have no set construction experience at all, or the time unfortunately, as this sounds like an awesome oppourtunity. Try looking at the following and post a request there, either on the forums or one of the boards: http://www.animationsa.org/ or http://www.designmind.co.za/ I'll get back to you if I find anyone who's interested or think of anything else!

Funny, Todd, but now that you mention it: the carrots I used to peel for my mom did stain my fingers, but the ones I sometimes peel to eat raw now don't...weird. (Pete, I'm impressed by your carrot knowledge :`)

It's also done in tunnels. (Reverse Graffiti). Really beautiful!

Maybe they need a stimulus package
