I don't believe that there's such a thing as a midlife crisis, that's why I bought this last year to prove it... [image: IMG_0645.JPG] What could be more normal than a 47 year old driving around in a sports car with the roof down wearing a baseball cap to cover his balding head keep the sun out of his eyes?

I find the reaction of the general public to be the most interesting when raising survival issues; they are typically ignorant of the lack of robustness in the utility industry. There is a blind presumption that water, electric & gas are free flowing until the supply is disrupted, then they just expect it to be fixed in hours. If the utilities ever fail completely I think you will see the "Zombies" appear very quickly as society collapses and people start to forage for food & warmth...

Don't tell the visitor that there is a joy stick looking device on one quadrant of the vehicle. He might play around and break something.

On my macbook I have parallels and an old copy of windows xp. I use it to run autocad (2008, if i'm not mistaken) and other misc sofware. I have 8 GB of ram on this machine and have allocated 3 GB to parallels. Windows does not see the internet, for security reasons, just my home folder. I had bootcamp and parallels at one time, using the same windows install, but windows complained, because it thought there were two different machines and asked to be reactivated. I switched to windows xp-parallels only. I use autocad for 2d work only, and the performance is more than acceptable. You probably have an unused windows license laying around somewhere, so that can be less expensive than buying windows 7. And, xp is a lot faster than 7 under parallels. My advice, parallels, unless some heavy 3d intensive app is needed.

@rich o brien said: Mr Pistorius is taking part in the Special Olypics next week which is also in London. I'd imagine the experience he earned here will filter through to this inspiring event also. A great representative and heart warming to see the admiration his fellow competitors had for him. Correction: Oscar Pistorius is taking part in the Paralympics, which are for athletes with physical disabilities; the Special Olympics are for those with intellectual disabilities. I was surprised, though, when I heard he was to be in the paralympics; although he meets the qualifications (amputee), by making it into the olympics, it seems to me he's proved he's not physically disabled. Anyway, hopefully we'll see him in Rio in four years. Watching Pistorius race was one of the highlights, for me. And, seeing Lochte beat Phelps in their first race. The Summer and Winter Olympics are the only time I "get into" sports, and look forward to them with anticipation. Unfortunately, this go around, NBC's coverage of them left much to be desired, so I didn't see as much as I had hoped. Now there's Sochi in 2014 to look forward to; their promotional piece showed some very nice looking venues.

And then, right in the middle of the party, pump pure nitrogen into the room to displace all of the air.

You could always print depending on what the model is/size/cost. I had somebody build something for me but its so time consuming, paying them was only just cheaper than having it printed!

I've got a few questions about organic farming: What makes the farming organic, if the soil they are planting in draws its water from the ground aren't all the pollutants that have seeped into the groundwater affecting the soil? If most farms draw their water from aquifers, how does one make sure they can still call their food organic. The fertilizer that they use, how is it organic. My understanding is that calling anything organic fertilizer is basically a fancy term for animal feces. How does one propose to feed a country of more than 100 million people with organic food if they don't have the land to grow the food. Produce by its very nature is a product of stable and predictable weather. How will they compensate for the global warming that is affecting all aspects of this planet. (now before we start a discussion on whether global warming is real or not, let's just assume we all agree that it's real for this question). What does one replace engineered pesticides with? Is there a universal consensus as to what can be labeled organic. Now that we have a 18 month old baby, my wife wants us to feed her organic food. I have no problem with it but still can't get a solid answer as to what constitutes organic. I'm not familiar enough with this concept other than what I hear from various people so I'd love to get some education on this topic.
