Hey guys! We have just finished the second season of our podcast. The third season is coming – we will do more interviews with CG artists and plan to talk with software developers as well. I encourage you to check the episodes from last year, especially the ones with our guests - Sayan Mondal and Erin Woodford. CG talks S02E06: Why and how to optimize your scenes? In this episode, Andrew, DJ, and Marco talk about how optimizing your 3d scene can save your sanity, what aspects of your project could be adding unnecessary render time what you can do to render your scenes faster on a render farm even without much technical rendering knowledge! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jiu6chE33MY&t=529s CG talks S02E07: A living with Blender - interview with Sayan Mondal In this episode we introduce an exclusive interview with Sayan Mondal - founder of blueinversion.com The interview includes Sayan's origin story and how he decided to pursue his own path as an artist and entrepreneur instead of continuing a regular education curriculum. What led him to dive deep into procedural shaders in Blender. We talk about constant learning and improvement as well as art and important inspirations and role models. The conversation develops into sharing thoughts about the modern CG industry, young and older CG artists, and their pros and cons. Along the way, we touch upon topics like A.I. Crypto Art, Inktober, November, and NPR rendering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cas3MTOCNYo&t=50s CG talks S02E09: Nodevember procedural magic with Erindale.xyz In this episode of CG Talks, Marco, DJ and Michal sit down with Erin Woodford of Erindale fame. Erin is an artist, designer and entrepreneur specializing in creating procedural objects and surfaces in Blender. We learn about his discovery of procedural design and the experience he's had on the journey so far. Erin also demystifies proceduralism and explains how despite the nuances in this workflow calling for a less intuitive or conventionally artistic mindset, it isn't something reserved for people with coding experience or mathematical thinkers. If you've been curious but apprehensive about learning proceduralism, this episode is for you. Procedural workflows are certainly key for the future of CG so if you want to jump on the bandwagon, it's about time (and lots of fun anyway)! This might just be the thing that motivates you into participating in next year's Nodevember! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snHH4_izLbg&t=2487s CG talks S02E11: What is shading and how to nail it? In this episode, DJ, Andrew and Marco talk about shading - what it means for 3d artists, and a few key considerations to take when working! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekn7Yl2-mMg&t=1079s I hope you will find them interesting.

Paper bottles, I have heard of. One of the coke ideas is a thin film of plastic inside the 'bottle' but not seen anything firm on the ideas.

Baz, it is ok, OUR BELOVED Su is capable of doing shadow study, and you have done a really cool design and presentation job. Thanks for sharing, BTW I guess it'd be better if you'd share it on the "gallery" section of the forum.

I agree with you Ken. It looks like a mess that has to be cleaned up otherwise the USA election system will not have present or future credibility and if that becomes the case, I dread to think what will happen. I had actually listened to the Russel Ramsland (Co-Founder of the Allied Security Operations Group)interview by Simone Gao, Zooming In. 'Exclusive: Exam Indicates Georgia Tabulating Machine Sent Results to China' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqsC5vIeoGw Russel Ramsland seems extremely knowledgeable and very credible.

Nice thing with Twinmotion is you can do all your modeling in sketchup then to Twinmotion. The most exciting thing is you can combine other 3D Format assets FBX , OBJ,RHINO etc within your scene. No more converting meshes!!!! Buy ready textured assets from 3rd party and Twinmotion will take care of it.

Thanks for your input Nlipovac Yes, VRAM Is 16GB I think that is a plus for rendering. My alternative choice is MSI WE75 RTX3000 32GB about $1800 cheaper, but I don’t have any idea about MSI. So far Razer is the best choice and similar to MacBook design. Thanks again.

I guess some part of it has been because of tutor. But I agree, there would not be any synergy. There is a long long way for humans to be able to replace the physical first hand communication.

Like the Ford example. Some things we hope to be "cheap", meaning inexpensive, but serviceable. Also a person can be cheap, meaning they won't spend money even at a reasonable cost. Some other uses are too derogatory to mention. But it also means something that is poor quality. This is my experience in the US anyway. A common warning: "Those aren't exactly cheap."is more about the cost than the quality.
