I personally don't like things that have unnecessarily electronics inside and need much of energy. I could imagine that the keybard would work much longer than the hundred little screens in the keys. But neverthless the idea is fascinating. Maybe e-ink (like in e-readers) would be more effiient than lcd. The usefulness is another question. Many people are able to use their keyboard while looking on the screen. There are already concepts for notebooks without keyboard, but two touch displays.

i recently brought some parts for my classic beetle from an american company and they shipped them over. i could have got them over here from a company that's an english franchise of the american company, but from the english company it would have cost me just over £3000. the american company, including shipping and also some little extras, it cost me £1890. the guy asked me why i was buying from them, rather than their english counterpart, so i outright told him why (after the payment had gone through of course!) he was more than shocked! the crazy thing is that this wasn't even when the exchange rates were in my favour, had i done it then i could have saved even more. i just don't get it. pav

Thank you ALL for giving your advise and suggestions to this topic; we had a group of 14 kids from various area schools (all grade 9s), showed them a 4 minutes intro (instructional) video from YouTube, then a 3 min. "cool stuff" video with tanks and game design by Massive Black, then finally a video on ancient Rome also including the Google Earth interface. Then one of our architectural Coop University Students winged a 3D model of a Wii console - she did not tell the kids what was it supposed to be, but they guessed anyway within the first 2 minutes. Finally, we had all of them try the software for 15-20 minutes; some got bored quickly, but about 1/3 got so much into it that they even printed color prints of their models! Great stuff!!! again, thanks to All for their inputs Marek

Another forum "Duh!" for me is realizing there are a bunch of useful buttons way beyond the Google adsense blocks in the lowest part of the screen.

Hi Nomer, Yes, TED is the best place for inspirational talks on the Net. Far better to spend a hour listening and learning on TED than watching some utter rubbish on TV Mike

Hi, Compressed Air Engines (CAE) is fairly old technology, but getting HP and torque from this is where the golden egg of Green transportation lies. [image: kfpS_forbes-compressed-air-engine_136.jpg] As you see even just driving around you'll be somewhat refilling the tank but not enough that'll result in constant charge. From a safety aspect, sitting on a highly pressurized cannister compared with a tank full of fuel, i'd prefer the good ol' combustion engine. Fuel unless ignited is harmless, compressed air is like a bomb if ruptured. I'm sure they've factored in the containment of such pressure(300psi) but if you've ever seen a nitrogen or oxyacetylene cylinder blow a valve you'll know what i mean. They are like torpedoes. But i'm not disputing this ain't a positive step, it's innovation like this that is exactly what we need and with our Govt introducing a carbon tax next month, I might just have to drive my ass to work on wind power excuse me

Perfect! And free to boot Just for the record, I was trying to get it into DoubleCAD, so once I downloaded it I had to extract to my desktop, then copy to C:\Windows\Fonts and it was available once I restarted DoubleCAD. [image: Hayg_Capture.JPG]
