        Sorry Cotty, from a real world technical viewpoint this will not work, you have opposing grain direction. The natural movement of the timber will break this quite quickly.

            Well that raises an interesting question. Design is design whether 'real' or not.
            To make an analogy with writing, if a work of fiction purports to be fact, does that make it fraud? Or say Architecture, if you design a building which is inherently unsound, is that ok?
            Or am I being pedantic?

              Hi Cotty,
              I tried to achieve the same or at least a similar warm wood-look - as you always get it to the point. I had a long tinkering with the lighting until it worked.
              Very good is your trick to hover the model a little above the ground, so that the model does not look like glued there. Thanks for sharing!
