OK, still moving on with the build. Sketchup diffusion threw a few wobblies after an update went south. Rayscaper still on it. The colour is antique white from the skp standard collection, looking to see if I keep the pbr collection, not keen tbh. I understand the logic very well. I have experienced the lack of standards and the confusion its creates within operations and leaves certain individuals hung out to dry. If you install all three engines and train everyone equally on there functions then fine, but your not going to find a company that will take the time to implement that so they choose one.

I live in Ahwatukee between South Mtn. and the Tohono O'Odham people. Did you go to Cosanti in Scottsdale or Arcosanti up around Cottonwood? Solerie was one of Wrights students. One of those deals where you get to pay for the privelidge of pushing a wheelbarrow. I don't know what Soleri learned, but he did pick up on that little trick and his students pay to do his work as well. Nothing wrong with that, but I am not sure they reap any large benefits. Taliesin West is great, and I have visted Fallingwater, and there was was a FLW house in Virginia that I saw when I was stationed at the Pentagon. Some Army Lt. either lived there for free or a nominal fee. He did the up keep and visitors could come through during the day so he had to keep the place pristine. Sort of a caretaker vs rent deal.

Thanks, guys. The last image is indeed the best. "That image alone really sells Podium to me." Oooh, I like that.

Very cool Ross, but you say it's an old model; what is it a model of? I like what you did here regardless.

Well what I basically did to get those was create several reqtangles and spread them throughout your boat with section spacing between them, after that intersect with model and I deleted the edges and faces of the reqtangles so that I was left with nothing but the intersected geometry of your boat. After that it was just a matter of cleaning up that geometry...

Porn and booze as a defense against aliens. Wow! That's probably at least as effective as yodeling, which is said to work against Martians! I used to belong to a group called S-P-O-N-G-E (Stop Powerful Organisms from EnGulfing Everything!), and some of the senior members always swore by wasabi. Until they got eaten, that is, wasabi packets and all. (Great images, Durant!) --Lewis

Eric, the trick is to know that not every project is a candidate for a sketchy style. The moment I feel the slightest doubt, I quit styling. This one felt right for the job, from the very beginning.

Also that arch-like structure may not be smotthed - but more segments would surely be better. Nice scenes anyway!

I don't know why, but never even thought to look for it on FormFonts. But still had fun modeling it.
