Modelhead, Nice to see some of your work again. Based on your laundry room image - your customer obviously has some cash to spend. I just priced a deck project that came in @ more than 2.5x the cost of treated lumber for Trex. Nice product though, and I like the concept of not using wood. Bytor

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It was actually quite a bit of fun doing this! Although there is a bit of dodgy photoshopping here and there! I only used normal reflectivity Sid, no blur.I just added noise etc after. It seemed to pick up the colours a bit better. I recommend it if you are feeling bored one day with nothing to do. Or maybe just get drunk, I dunno.

dramatic lighting! alomst seems to be out of a fairy tale I like it! earth mover is right though. the flowers in the foreground are not really necessary. the rough water is absolutely fantastic. how did you achieve this effect? oh, and which engine did you use for the rendering? was a lot of photoshop involved?

"I see," said the blind man...those bushes that ground the image so well also obscure the amount of space between the Crape Mertle and the wall. Not sure darkening the "artistic" shadow would help with that...maybe something else entirely to set up distance between the two? Anyway, really nice image (you know it's good when folks get picky with the details If you have any good links for Sears homes please share. Here's the best of what I found, but I'd like to have some sources for specific details, materials, and etc. (I haven't been able to find an image of "oriental asphalt shingles" among other things?): http://www.searsarchives.com/homes/byimage.htm http://www.antiquehome.org/House-Plans/

@olishea said: I know, the scheme is just awful. Its really boring working on things like this!! Thanks for the advice! Mate that's where your job lies! To make it look good even though the designer didn't! Though yeah your work is cut out for you here!

Wow, thanks everyone!! Uh, I used subdivide and smooth mostly, here's a picture of the original mesh (drawn by hand) before subdividing: The whole mesh: [image: xP0W_mesh.jpg] The face: [image: ppt5_face.jpg] As for posing, it can be posed, whether by posing the mesh before subdivision, or using fredo6's fredoscale plugin (cool plugin by the way). Here's an example: [image: qRmy_pose.jpg] Thanks for the hairstyles solo, they're awesome! I want to know how you make them (if it's ok )? I'll try them on for a render and get back with my results! I'll also check out the 'sculpt tools' plugin, I only found about it just now, thanks kwist!

Hi Chris Nice work. Can you re-render this without textures (just plain colours)? The repeating textures make it a little difficult to see the form of your model. Look forward to seeing it Rob

Very cool Pete & highly original. These are some of the, for lack of a better word, funnest renderings I have seen. They have great quality, but the whole concpet and the way they are put together just entertain the viewer so much. Great job
