They both look great, but for a retail shop I would go with the brighter of the two.

Pugs, great job so far. I would suggest upping the scale of the textures on the rock and roof, so you don't that repeat. Are you using seamless textures?

Alan, love your work! This is a very nice style and I like the added ground cover in the last one. I think the yellow in the foreground could be more subdued. It keep drawing my eye there rather then the pavilion which is the focus of the rendering not the ground.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the forum and for viewing and responding to my post. To answer your question, Bytor, i've only used the kt point and spot lights (and obviously the sun). I light my scenes minimally and I use false emitters for the cans in certain situations to decrease my render times. I have toggled with IES lights, and actually like using them, but again, they increase the render times. So if I can achieve a decent effect, I just go with the basics. Thanks for your compliments- they're much appreciated. I don't want school to start tomorrow- i'm not gonna have time to play anymore Dale, and others who are new- or still learning KT, I can't encourage you enough to visit http://www.kerkythea.com/joomla and start posting your works for feedback and instruction on your renders. The team, and other members there are tremendously supportive- i would have given up after the first day without them !! Hope all of you have a good week!!!! -Calvin

Forgotten King Kwistembiebel, Willed body wars action. This is Dr. Timothy Leary, no? Are you into the action that he wrote a book on the Jack bird Tarot? Yeah, baby, the Thoth to be specific... Bring that. A curved channel cheese gymnasium is my take. Brain spark sequence initiated... Assign brain waves... Count down under way... Bowels armed.... Discharge and launch... Vectoring on target... Spare no gas... Durant "put it into practice" Hapke

Thanks again guys . The swimming 'man glue' is not my own unfortunately, it's an added segment I found on youtube and is credited at the end. I wonder what they used though..

jason, Thanks! the glass part was a bit hard infact.. took me a lot of time and trials to get it right. Tom, Initally, the finish was supposed to be plain stucco with grooves.. later on they decided to go with stone cladding.. well i was in a kind of rush and couldnt wait to reimport the model again without those grooves.. but u spotted it well! thanks once again!

Stefanq none has no problem, this is done several times, when there is no tubing for this purpose in place, there is thus avoids footers behind the break up walls cheers

Vray is a rendering plugin used for sketchup. It is similar to the vray plugin for 3d max but a little toned down from what I understand. But you can use SU materials or you can use vray materials...whichever ones you use, you will still need to tweak them cause they need different characteristics to look like what you want. I usually combine the two. Just google vray for sketchup and u will find out a lot more about it. Try checking out podium too...much easier to learn at first.

Puma, this is a really nice pod. I would call it beatle oh, and geh4evr is right. this vehicle is destined for rendering, cause then you can have a glowing energy connection between the engines...

the second one has a nice fresh look.. i think the other two suffer from the black ground plane... maybe lighten it up a bit?

@unknownuser said: on first glance I thought it looked like Suzuki Swift Funny you should say that, I forgot to say I used blueprints from a 2006 Suzuki Swift as a base.
