@gaieus said: I like this second one big time. Cool model of course (which is very needed with clay renders as you cannot "fake" details with textures) The second image was from Chris's tutorial. I presume it was made using 3DS, but there was no specific mention of the rendering. The first image is one of my "typical" examples of how to use the technology. It is a 3D warehouse model. It is supposed to "inspire" you to think of how the technology could be used. I think we'll have to work harder to find good models to demonstrate technology. [Edit: since writing this post, the image in the first post has been replaced by a better clay rendering example]

Yeah, it is. Only the sun as light source (and the sky) and a curved background with a light grey colour (never use pure white - it kills render time)

Chris, great to see you exhibiting again, it's been too long. As always your work is awesome and your textures are superb. I understand the sunlight thing, I had a project for a crowd in Perth that did not like my sunlight infiltration, they cited that the building was a refuge from the sun. Only one observation, the shadows on trees outside do not seem to correspond with the sun direction on the window frames.

Thanks guys!, Another one on the way tomorrow. This is only a 6m x 2m stand so not a lot of space, more just to make the staff comfortable and utilise the space around the edges for the customers. Puck

thanks. they are just fat people lol I think when i corrected verticals it made the people stretch a bit too. I had to take the background picture in a dark room (the windows are boarded up at the moment) so thats why its blurry and noisy. I added a zoom blur to the render to try and match this but it's the closest I could get. cheers for comments

Beautiful images. The only crit render-wise I have is using the same sky for two different views (first two images). It would be nice to see some closer views of the building, and to get a sense of the scale (people). Also, the design looks dynamic, but in the side view (first image) it looks off balance (IMHO) - looks like it's about to tip over.

Thank you all for your comments on the model and the renders. I did'nt know that the place of the sun makes the model look better, but now that i know it, i think it'll help me a lot. Thanks for all the advices!

I do enjoy making weapons, but the mod specifically requires guns so I have no choice really
