Nice work Now some comment: the parking takes more than half of your image: too much. The perspective is a bit distorted, i would like to have straight vertical lines. The 2d trees have a disturbing halo. The texture of the roof is tiling. The people seem clearly "glued" on your image. Very good cars, grass and asphalt anyway.

very strict comment rick okay I'll reveal the truth : the palms are plastic shilouettes so they can stand up on every terrain As I wrote, the model is not mine, but I've to admit that I didn't noticed those oddities, the scene seemed charming and all details went overlooked

i'll get the url from my work computer when im back tomorrow, cant remember exact place i found the tutorials. start off with some of the basic shapes and select edges/faces etc and right click to see all the manipulation tools like inset, extrude (like push/pull), subdivide (also hotkey S on keyboard). Just have a play mate best way to learn! although i have no idea how to model/texture things accurately in it yet! oh and pilou....nice it looks like magma!

Harmony Outdoor Living. Do a search for them on the 3D warehouse. Quite a few models there, and there is a link to their site off of the models. They do some nice stuff. They might have some spec information their also. If you call them, talk to Joe. He's a real nice guy. Tell him Jack from Jax Coffee House & Roastery sent you. Me and Igloo Studios are doing some work with Joe and Belgard. Belgard Hardscapes is another one you can do a search on at the 3D warehouse.

@dirt said: i am having a hard time just getting it to work period. when i am in sketchup, and go to export the model in kerky, it wont create an XML file, just some random file kerky cant deal with. BUT when i have no model in the program and just add things like lights and sun from kerky, it works fine and opens up kerkythea. except that does me no good because there is no model to render. is there any other free rendering programs out there? SU2KT has problems with non ascii characters. So if you pathname, filenames, texture names, models or so have any special characters... change them. Use latest SU2KT http://www.kerkythea.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8440

Thanks folks, very kind of you. Thanks, Broomstick, [image: wall.gif] completely forgot to add the dirt to the roof tiles! Here's the SU shot of same roof image. It's not actually a photomatch, but used Tomasz' BMVB to put a plane behind the building and paste my image from the client he took from the actual building's roof on it. [image: file.php?id=2362] Then in Photoshop I used an alpha mask rendering from Twilight to mask the same image back into the rendering... actually it was a 'doctored' version of the image. More on this scene's composition in this thread on Twilight's forum.

Broomstick, thanks...and good idea, but I think better for you (and other users) to do to their own set as they need (I bet I play with the idea on my own set). Gai, thanks...and wouldn't that be nice to have the whole scene change with the date (Nice brainfart BTW :`) There is another thread (I'm too rushed to find it this AM) where folks kindly tested the last set in several render apps. These should do even better!

Very nice mate!! The interior light looks a little bright or at least not directed downward, hence over illuminating the ceiling! Now you neeed some nice furnitures in there and maybe some garden lighting!

rich, that was my intention: to make a building that would help people get through very difficult moments of their lives instead of exacerbating their pain. sid, me too. i always feel unconfortable with renders in which one cannot see a little of the interiors. i am aware that some, if not all, of these renders could be better but as for me they are design tools i decided to stop at a point where thay are already believable.
