edson, i like the work. regarding this: @tfdesign said: I'm a big fan of Richard Rogers' social housing designs. These are a nice example; [image: PREFAB-FRIDAY-Richard-Rogers-Oxley-Park-Houses-01-707349.jpg] is there a social context to which those shapes / colors / proportions / windows / facades fit into? will those materials age gracefully? are they easy to maintain? will that curtain wall age gracefully and keep water out? when a panel fails - will common, easy to find materials be available to make repairs? is it a norm to not have 'defensible space' in the fronts of houses like this? are the interiors as sterile as the exteriors? will inhabitants be living in some sort of IKEA box? are people comfortable in the front - or do they hang out in the back yard (if there is one behind that fence)? will there be more trees? is this on a street with auto traffic, or pedestrian traffic? is the plaza or street sterile? (looking pretty sterile in its current form). can owners personalize the units? why not integrate lighting into the units? or do the social aspects of this area include living with parking lot style lights above one's head? just some questions. those aren't very warm or inviting. i can see a graffiti'd version of these with broken windows, broken down cars, and broken windows not far into the future. if the owner's don't have a stake, or a say, in how their environment looks / feels / is used / etc... its likely that they will have little respect for their surroundings. this was part of the problem of the housing issues from the 60s on in the states. herd people like cattle into housing that 'the experts' designed and programmed. i'm much more interested in the approach of the rural studio, started by sam mockbee in georgia. i wish i had known about the program before i jumped into a hi-tech, theory based grad program staffed by marquee named architects in a big city...

I really like the feeling in that last image. But there is something odd about the window reflections, and the lack of any blue in the sky makes it go from cheerful to a littlebit drab.

@floric, my apologies, but I'm really not sure. With Twilight making this is somewhat effortless. Tomasz may be able to answer this question in the SketchUp section of the Kerkythea forum.

Mate I like the design and the camera angle but the lighting I feel could be more dramatic!

Ah, you're referring to my previous sig, which linked to a Die Antwoord clip. My girlfriend won't let me play their tunes when she's at home. They're funny as hell. And this makes me positively jealous (animal suits! Aphex Twin!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSe03Dsh7Y4

@unknownuser said: @unknownuser said: ....so I wasn't really sure which way to go. Often I just look around in the area and find a roof that looks appropriate and take a sample from it. I like it. Nice idea, thanks. I will make some changes tonight as I have to change the ornamental spheres for png's (they are making the model waaay too big). Thanks again.

I attended architecture school at Carnegie Mellon University, but graduated from the Industrial Design Department. I never dropped my interest in architecture however most of my work has been in graphic design and photography. My wife is from Venezuela and I worked for an international company for 16 years. In Venezuela they have those long tailed parrots. One year we visited the worlds tallest water fall, Angel Falls (982 meters). At the jungle camp where we stayed they had an open-air "churuata" (thatched roof structure)serving as a restaurant. As we walked past, I looked up and saw a flight of those parrots flying overhead. One pealed off and dove for the building, its wings and talons tucked in for speed. It was at terminal velocity when it shot through the open wall of the "churuata" and flared its wings, reached out with its talons and snaged a roast chicken from the plate of a middle aged matron sitting by herself for dinner. The bird then shot out the other side of the building and headed into the forest to enjoy its stolen dinner. The lady? I think she is still sitting there with mouth open and hand on her heart. It is one of the great photographs that I have missed. Anyhow the image of those parrots is frozen in my memory and my reaction is to associate them with Venezuela.

@pichuneke said:  I read that some italians call it the "typewriter" (máquina de escribir, in spanish). Yes it is very squared! [image: 3691948586_1c0d1db212_o.jpg] Ciudadela 02 por artysmedia, en Flickr We can call it "mazacote" or "tocho" in spanish. I dont know the translation of this two words in english but is sure that google has not the answer...

I love futurist architecture and this one is "one of the ten" that should be mentioned, even if it's two year old. Fantastic work, so detailed, I can see the idea of the future urbanism in the pictures .
