Ha ha ha... Well, in my city we tend to cover every single available wall with something, mostly huge paintings.

@jsteacy said: Very convincing pebbles, I assume you modeled a few then used the fur plugin to distribute them. what we're the settings you used on the fur plugin? Also it looks like (but hard to tell) you used a pebble texture underneath the modeled ones to cut down on the amount of modeled pebbles, smart, I'm curious what this would look like farther away as part of a whole house shot to see if it's still as convincing (plus I don't think many renders would be so close to the pebbles). Thanks, yes, I used three modeled pebbbles [with a slight sheen in Twilight] as the base component. There is a pebble texture underneath, as insurance, but I can barely see it. This image is about a 50% crop of the original, so the area covered wasnt extensive. Even though I only used 100 instances to a square metre the rendering time ramps up considerably as each individual pebble has to be rendered. So, generally, something like this is useful for close up shots...or maybe larger areas if you have plenty of time and a really fast computer.

Excellent images. Realizing this is just conceptual, how would you resolve getting there? What would you imagine the sea level to main level transition to be. Seems it would need to be as elegant as the structures above.

For raw SU output, I use FormFonts plant components - that is a subscription service, however, and may not be an option for you. As mentioned above, Solo and Tom have some nice plants for sale - if you will be modeling a lot, you might weant to consider investing in some. You might also look on 3D Warehouse for some plants.

Thomthom, I think this is very photo-realistic renderings and I like it. I dont mind the flooring material, I just think it would help if there were less of it in the foreground...cropping the image a bit more may help, because theres just too much of it and it takes away from all the detailed areas.

Looking good, Eric. All it's missing are the harsh overhead fluorescent lights, and it would be like my home away from home.

@unknownuser said: As lovely as they are I would like to see SU output too, if possible? Here you go Rich. Here are some views, one with the whole setup and another with just one piece of garland along with the ball. I changed the background to red so it shows up better. The design seems interesting but I agree with minguinhirigue, the field of view distortion seems too much so it's hard to understand the model. I would like to see a render looking down at the model so it's easier to understand the whole design. I do like the atmosphere of the renders but maybe tone down the vignetting a little. Neat but I'd like to see more

3eighty Im not sure if I will be uploading her onto any other sites as Ive had People steal my models and sell them on other sites, and there isnt much I can do about it. If I can get my Turbosquid account working i might place her there, Oh and decoding xx files is higly illegal.
