At this moment is just an hypothesis, but I link you a new (in spanish) about a possible roman building used now as a church that reminds me your basilica. http://goo.gl/k6aU2 http://goo.gl/maps/p08X Google translation to english: http://translate.google.es/translate?hl=es&sl=es&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.saforguia.com%2FNoticias%2Ftabid%2F54%2Ftitular%2FLOS_ARQUE%25C3%2593LOGOS_DE_LA_ALQUER%25C3%258DA_DE_MARTORELL_PIDEN_UNA_SEGUNDA_EXCAVACI%25C3%2593N_PARA_ESTUDIAR_EL_HALLAZGO_DE_UN_EDIFICIO_DE_%25C3%2589POCA_ROMANA%2Fidnoticia%2F25297%2FDefault.aspx Perhaps is just a coincidence, and it's just a recent building. I'll try to bring you future news about this.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Rclub24 - I had a 2D cad file that I generated from some pdf files found somewhere a while back on the web. Can't remember where exactly. A quick little update - finished the deck and changed the stone and wood siding materials. The others were too dreary / dull for my liking. I will post some more when I finish the site context around the house. Bytor [image: wb0B_KAHN-FISCHER_V7_TEST-C0MPOSITE.jpg]

I thought you had visit to Derngate earlier this year. If not Fritz and I could organize it after new year. I think it would be useful for the other students as well. Maybe you should contact Architects who did restoration works and obtain more data in order to model it more accuratly.... Nice renders would be also helpful...

update to the homecinema- project. Unfortunately, I didn't have any time to let all the renders cook long enough, so they are still grainy. But never the less, the customer is very happy with the result. [image: GL96_suk001.jpg] [image: gyhY_suk002.jpg] [image: JRWm_suk003.jpg] [image: ofNC_suk004.jpg]

for the floors i used phong shader in skindigo material properties, so its all rendering effects. @roger said: Are the reflections on the floor done by the render engine or are they part of the post processing?

inthe fact its for north iraq ( kurdistan - sulaimani) ya some elements are borrowd form other cultures but it was on client's demand. @roger said: I like it. The building seems to have Moorish arches, but has a cross on top. Would this be in Spain, Turkey, or perhaps Greece. The rotunda seems a little Greek.

wow, fantastic renders, some insight on how you created these would be great (like how you modeled/textured and any post processing involved) I'd love to see a, just sketchup image, to see the transformation. My only critique is I would have picked a different image for the tv, just having the tv off would work. I think it draws too much attention to it and its not something everyone is into (I know that might sound crazy because Harry Potter is very popular). Great work

Yes, your analness knows no bounds Actually, those are pretty good reasons. I hate seeing those extras colors in my studio material list as well when they crop up. Besides, I can't knock on your anality too much (wow, that sounds dirty) ever since your tip about using bump maps to texture map brick and such. That's been quite useful. -Brodie
