Just a heads up, "Surf with caution rating" on bootstrapcdn.com at http://www.avgthreatlabs.com/website-safety-reports/domain/bootstrapcdn.com Have to ask again, is it really needed to use so much 3rd party scripts with sketchucation? The site is on the top5 tech site I do use, but I really wish that site itself where build so that there are less options for cross-site scripting attacks. About the voting on some mealier post. I don't think this is a matter of voting (For website is a question how site owner considers security to be important with relations to it's customers), as it's so easy to cast a vote by just based on a feeling. But like I in opening post warned, there been security issues with bootstrapcdn.com and now month later the site is rated "Surf with caution rating". For me it stays blocked by no script... There also 3rd party scripts from metacdn.com that luckily seems to have a better record with safety, but blocking those scripts will break forum... so I am now in a situation, where I need to consider if sketchucation is more important for me than security I tend to keep when surfing the web. No judgement yet... but for last months track is not good in that are of the site.

@gilles said: Show your face instead hiding behind your thumb. Yes definitively , I am even ready to show my face in my avatar if the thumbs down are eliminated . Ah , OK , this silence from Rich O Brien , author of this thread , makes me wonder and makes me feel that this place is no longer a friendly place for me . Bye Bye Crew .

Yes Sketchucation already ranks very well, but you can never rank well enough. as for the current links, not to worry the actual link which is the current one, will still work. The SEO url is just set as a new url. to combat duplicate content that can be seen by having the two working urls. a rel=canonical tag should be used to declare one of the urls as the one Serps should use. This would not affect a lot of the great ranks it already has. however, it could increase page views for less searched for terms that may fill the forum from individual forum posts. noob questions etc.

Most of the third and forth rows in your image are the user selectable icons when they create a new post. They mean whatever the poster thinks they mean, I think. But the little dots and the tick have tool tips when you hover, The dot will take you to the post it relates to, if at the front it's the first unread post and at the end the last post. If it is red you haven't read it. Th tick tells you someone has given an answer that the OP or a Mod has selected as a solution and clicking it will take you to that post. And the little square with tiny writting means there is an attachment, such as an image or a skp file. The last row have their meaning written after them.

Thanks Gabor, Tig. That was it, I had 'accept cookies' ticked in Firefox but had the wrong option - 'keep until I close Firefox' - instead of 'until they expire'. Cheers, Baz

I think the google search engine is probably the worst for this, even though perhaps the latest article may be the first you see in the list? I recall posting that request a few years ago about that in their comments page(?), or did I just throw a piece of paper in the sea? or did I try to scare a glacier with a blowtorch?

Yeah, I more liked their idea of using it in the original poster's byline.

I don't know exactly whats going on but many times I will just sit and stare at a completely blank page after clicking on a link that has a lot of image posts. Then after a few minutes everything fades up and I can use the page. I don't see this in any other website I have ever visited. I think it's quite annoying because I can't tell if the page is loading or it's frozen. Sometimes I just close it and move on. Any way I can Turn OFF this crazy "innovation"?

Hi, I find that the search forums field has disappeared in the main forums page: http://sketchucation.com/forums/ it is very hard to do a search now! The search field does appear when I go into specific threads... I tried with firefox 23.0.1 and on IE.

Disable Adblock [and anything similar] for all sketchucation.com AND buysellads.com pages. Also empty your browser's cache. Also check that your Firewall is not blocking the sites. Also Check that you have javascript enabled... and your Internet Options control-panel has no onerous settings that might block things... Thousands of members successfully navigate SCF and see the very relevant and informative ads that fund its very existence... So it is fixable. [I am typing this in the latest version of Firefox on Win7 so I know it can work !]
