I wonder if there is anyway to enable Google+ Authorship credit in the forums?

I tried including a link in my sig but I'm limited to one.

I suppose you could link in every post, but that would get annoying. Any ideas?

Here you can read up on the program.

Google authorship is always confined to a webpage and only works for one link in a series of links - and always for the topmost link.

I.e. if one asks a question here with authorship info added to the post and then someone answers the question, who should be the "author" for that topic? The "ignorant" one who is asking or the "learned" one who answers?

Otherwise we do have authorship (and other, rich snippets) implemented on many of our site but only in the CMS. Like here you can see

Mine is working for the bottom side of my webpage... And I've been able to use multiple authors on one page and a publisher.

In a perfect world both would use them... But, I suppose until then who ever used the code would get the credit of posts until the next person down assumed their own credit.

It's too bad... There's a lot of authorship credit here going to waste.

Actually Gaieus, I have checked my website and it is relegating authorship to the highest author listed on a given page. SO perhaps that's true only one author per page.

Here's an interesting post on the topic. of phpBB and Google+ Authorship.

Yes, interesting but then imagine a scenario when we allow html in signatures and some folks use it for authorship (while others do not care) and with a single comment like "hi, nice render" a person could gain authorship over a topic where another one posted lots of nice images above.

Yeah, I more liked their idea of using it in the original poster's byline.
