Yes, have done. Is the bug fix update available there?
Thanks for your help with this....

RE: Hidden Text and leaders under imported model.
lightbulb!!!!
That seems weird actually considering most CAD listing within the program can be sorted alphabetically / numerically. I think arranging items on screen should be able to be manipulated in isolation; not based on the layer dialogue structure...
thanks for getting back to me on this, will go and try....

RE: Some symbols don't export when creating a PDF
any movement on this jhauswirth? I have just posted a thread in the past few days about a similar issue but I find an issue even working in LO.

Hidden Text and leaders under imported model.
Hey Guys,
I am having trouble working out why in Layout my text and arrows [leaders] are being hidden beneath the imported model..... I have tried hiding the ground plane, moving back the model and bringing the text forward but still no luck. Probably something very simple but it's got me stumped!!Thanks in advance....

RE: Depth in 2D components....
Thanks Tom, not sure that the component will still 'face camera' if you do this?
Fletch, I'm interested in your layer cut-outs idea? can you elaborate a little....?

Depth in 2D components....
Hi all,
Just playing around with an idea i had to create depth in 2D components...I found some 2D tree symbols a while back and wondered what it would be like to make faces and offset them behind the linework of the tree, overlap the faces and tweak opacity to give depth.... the image I've attached may not be the best example so I've attached the .skp file also.
I've got a number of others I am working so too so let me know your thougths so far....
Cheers,

Thanks for the "heads up" regarding Grant and his font, Alan...

Regarding what font I personally use...
Hhhmmm... It's actually not that easy to say... It all depends on the project I work on... But I tend to have some favorites from time to time, but I change "taste" after some time and start using some new ones...At the moment I seem to be using fonts within the Handwriting category the most, so Grants font might be the next I use for some projects...

I have far too many fonts...
and got many of them at dafont.com and 1001 Free Fonts...
Kim, here are a few freehand fonts you might like to download look at:
!PaulMaul
AlphamackAOE
AndrewScript
Anke Print
ArdleysHand
frankthearchitect [my favorite]

RE: Favorite Font..
Thanks Guys, never been one for Serif font in architectural documentation; a little over the top for me.
San Serif for me. lower case in most cases....
AvantGardBT is my favorite [at the moment].

[Plant] 3d Lily
OK, so I thought I'd better start posting some models that I have made that you might find useful....
This one is a lily; a favorite with Landscape designers up this way. Loves full sun, plant 600-750mm apart and gives a nice landscape edge to work from.
Have painted it in Pantone palette; slighting different color under the leaf.
Also, have been able to keep it relatively small in file size too....
