RE: Another Machinist's Model of a Steam Engine.
@Dave-R I thought I forgot to take my 3D glasses off when looking at this last image. Fantastic

P.S. I meant to say my X-ray glasses. The ones I bought from the ad in the back of my comic book.

Mike, hereโs another flame .png image you might like.

RE: Rayscaper render Living room with a cold view.
Mike, The testing is far from done. Need to mess about with light placement and power some more.

RE: Rayscaper render Living room with a cold view.
@Mike-Amos Couldnโt help myself. Experiments with Twilight. Very quick test of the whole scene. On the dark side, didnโt want to mess in post pro just for a test. Included images showing placement of flame .png image, point lights and their values.

RE: Rayscaper render Living room with a cold view.
@Mike-Amos Iโve never had any luck either making the flames an emitter. Have done decent flames in the past but never in an open fireplace. Doing some testing on a model I threw together. If I get some decent results Iโll post them up. Maybe my setup might be helpful.

RE: Rayscaper render Living room with a cold view.
I wonder if you can illuminate the flames like you would in Twilight ? i.e. Flames imported as a .png image and illuminated by a number of small point lights low and in front of the image. Not sure of the lighting available in Rayscaper.

RE: Rayscaper render Living room with a cold view.
Curious how you have to set the flames up for the render ?

Making good progress. Keep up the experiments.

RE: Beautiful door to model
@L-i-am Donโt be discouraged. Started mine today. Itโs quite the challenge. Hard to make out all the details in places. Think itโs going to take me a while.

RE: Many projects
@jo-ke Youโve always done great work and it just keeps getting better

RE: Beautiful door to model
For better or worseโฆ downloaded a few images of this door. Started on a model. If I can get it figured out. Plan is to post it up for whoever wants to give it a spin in a render.

RE: Mod Family Room
Thanks gentlemen. About the lamp in the cornerโฆ.. the damn bulb burned out !

RE: Beautiful door to model
Familiar with this image. As Art Nouveau as it gets. Been tempted to give it a go myself. Would be cool to try and model some of the Nouveau style Paris subway gates also.
