I love to sketch on used napkins.
I don't get it. Old version. Why?
For students who read Vitruvius I always try to show them as early a manuscript as possible to help inform them about some of what the text has gone through and from where it has been.
Likewise with drawing instruments. And it should be no different with software. Many people over many years make a package of code into something of a phenomenon and that should be recognized and acknowledged. This is my way of doing that. If i could find the very first version, I'd be thrilled. The second version is the next best thing and i'm pretty thrilled about that!
I'd like to find and demo an early version of Sketchup for my students, showing them how far SketchUp has come. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where i can obtain an old version of Sketchup from the early days? I'd like to find version 3 or earlier to demo. Ideas? Thanks.
a student's work from a couple years ago run through FotoSketcher then PS.
Nice. Thank. this is a great plug in for doing gothic details!
charly2008,
How do you get your various shapes to be orientred perpendicular to your serpentine paths?
This should be a standard tool for SU!!! way to rock our world!
I had used a different deBabelizer version instead of the one included with this plug, so simply replacing that with the one included... well, that fixed it! thanks
i updated and now i get an error when starting su:
Error Loading File CymaCurveTool.rb
undefined method `deBabelizer' for main:Object
i'm on a mac

I know it's been asked before but a working FBX import would really make life easier.
I would pay for having this. Please!
This would be nice- i know you can convert with FBX conversion program, but to natively support this format would be useful.
is it moving?
i should add that I am a fan of your abilities
i agree about the pebble floor- something perhaps too distinct or repetitive or contrasty about it. Otherwise this is really good work.
Very impressive! I can't believe it only took 8 hours!!! I have been using SU and all sorts of other programs to model and render for over 10 years and it still takes me ages to complete even a simple model- I would love to know the secret to how so many of you are able to accomplish magic in such little time.
One suggestion regarding the renders might be so show a wee bit less ceiling and a wee bit more room so it doesn't look like the camera is aimed too high.
Wonderful job. And Twilight rocks! Twilight for Mac????!!!!!
Brilliant! I will try it right now! thanks
I'm trying to turn this curve into something more string-like. Any suggestions or extensions would be helpful!

Here's the reply I received from Google QA ---
Doesn't seem to do anything, though...

Yea, I've complained about this and filed the bug, too. I have two arms and it bugs me, so I'm sure it's worse for you. I always have System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts tab's "All Controls" set on. You can toggle on and off with Control-F7.
Here's the workaround that I use: rather than (Solution 1) temporarily toggle Ctrl-F7, it's easier for me to (Solution 2) hit tab four times as the first thing I do when I open a SketchUp file, which will place the little blue halo onto the select tool and off the Model Info button on the bottom left of the window.
Good ideas for workarounds- thanks!
