Doesn't seem to do anything, though...

Yea, I've complained about this and filed the bug, too. I have two arms and it bugs me, so I'm sure it's worse for you. I always have System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts tab's "All Controls" set on. You can toggle on and off with Control-F7.

Here's the workaround that I use: rather than (Solution 1) temporarily toggle Ctrl-F7, it's easier for me to (Solution 2) hit tab four times as the first thing I do when I open a SketchUp file, which will place the little blue halo onto the select tool and off the Model Info button on the bottom left of the window.

      Good ideas for workarounds- thanks!

      I'm having exactly this problem.

Unfortunately, since I've only got one arm, Universal Access is rather important to me.

I would try turning on what you need and turning off what you might not need and see if it works. In either case- this is something that needs to be addressed before ASVG should accept money for their product that is directed at Mac users.

Did you figure this problem out? I have the same issue and its driving me nuts.

Apparently it is fixed by disabling the Mac Universal Access features under the systems panel. Go figure.

      SketchUp 7 (7.1.5803) Mac osx 10.6.2 build 10c540 macbook pro 17"

I believe it's an issue with Vray- i am a beta tester.

      I didn't notice this until i upgraded to 7.1:
When in SU, pressing the spacebar brings up the model info dialog box as activated by the icon in the lower left hand corner of the su screen.
Additionally, and much more sinister, SU responds to keystrokes when i am in other programs. If i press the spacebar in another program, it activates the model info dialog in SU. Likewise if i quite a program, SU wants to quit also.

The keystroke issue goes away when i removed Vray for SU mac.
The spacebar issue remains regardless. This is a SketchUp issue that needs to be addressed please!

    • SU gone wild!!!

On the Mac, SU Pro is acting very weird!
First, when i press space bar, instead of the select tool, model info comes up- even if i'm typing in a different program while SU is open!!!!
Second, if i quit a program, SU wants to quit also!!!
      very frustrating!!!!

see a video of thispressing space bar and quitting another program makes SU act crazy

Running SU 7.1.5803 on MBPro, OSX 10.6.2.

There is a nice tone to the renderings. The small bushes infront of the parking structure are a bit repetitive as is the stone pattern on the structure next to the parking facility. Which building is the proposed? i assume the parking building. Really good work overall!

      Thanks Troyhome and James

Modeling took much longer than that. Rendered in Podium under 4minutes . PP in Photoshop. Curves, colour contrast, high pass.....blending....+ SU monochrome no shadows export twice the resolution 20% multiply blend... vignette...frame...merge layers...save

Second one has different colour mapping + extra vignette.

twice the res? i'll have to try that- probably gives a more crisp image...

modeled and rendered in 10 minutes? what, are you kidding me? that's incredible. i probably misread though. nobody could model that and render it in 10 minutes. nobody human at least. you are human, aren't you?!
regardless of how little time you spent on it, I love the look!! how did you achieve it?
