Hi Valero ! Thanks in fact i think you were true, the older parameters are overkill. And the only thing which was important for me was the absence of textsky. So i use Default without it but i Put Gi to an higher value than one because the render was too "grey". And it works fine. Thank you !

Ok i found the solution : the first images have to be on the top of the final hi-res image and then pick up the captures by going to the bottom.. Then no problem

UPDATE: Ive just bought a ASUS Nvidea EN9400GT (1Gb RAM), was cheap (UK £40), installed and working, has corrected my "selection" problem and is now super fast.... I was on an Intel Board which that inbuilt unit was 512Mb RAM (so wasnt a slow unit) however seems to be all about the OpenGL componant of the graphics board. Many Thanks @sfx group said: Hi Same problem, its your Graphics card.... I have an Nvidia on a P3 850Mhz (0.8Ghz) and it runs way faster than my Core2DUO at 2.4Ghz with the intel board. 90% of the software relies on openGL to work correctly, i am just researching cards now, however NVidia seem to support openGL fully... The card i tested it on was a GeForce4 Ti which runs like a rocket. Many Thanks Ashley

If I know something is curved, and not coplanar, I'll often just use the erase tool and hold down ctrl. That makes it soften and smooth all the edges that you run it over. It is a very fast and effective way to clean up parts by hand. You want to becareful to not smooth too many lines that are coplanar and should just be deleted though. Well, I don't know what would happen, but it seems like that would just add unnecessary geometry I guess. Chris
