since clouds are water vapor, will the software then become vapor ware??

We (my colleague Peter and I), use CS4 as part of the set up to a local community based magazine. Like most companies in the UK, we are still using XP, but I use a Mac, and am always taking the Mick out of Peter, because his PC keeps crashing. But in a cloud of rage today, Peter decided he'd had enough, so I posted this to ask if anyone had had a similar experience of CS on XP compared to CS on W7.

There isnt a way of controlling it on the PC as far as i know. If it isnt showing up its probably a bug, have you updated to the latest version?

Great info Chuck. Thanks! I've bookmarked this thread too. PNG files, yes- love 'em! The bloke I work with refuses to accept that PNG are the new JPEG's (They are great for photography too). It's all very infuriating! best, Tom PS, the 'upped' export looked great too (1400x 933)

The way to get nice movies out of SU is to export .pngs instead of .mov. And set the resolution up by 2x the final desired size. then use Quicktime Pro to assemble all the images into a .mov and set hte size how you want it, and export (and yes I do have to ignore my conscience every time I use QT pro ). That will make a high quality movie. chris

Thanks for that mate, really, really interesting. I worked for many years as a measured building surveyor so am ok with that side of things and i have a few mates who I could 'borrow' a disto off! It was more the dynamic of actually starting a project like (which, I will mention again, looks fab). I suppose its similar to like you have touched on in another thread - it's all about confidence and having the actual confidence to promote the value within the finished project that we know is there, but others may not.

Fixed it. If I extrude the face by a cm or two, then apply the texture, it works. Then using the push/pull tool, push the face back to it's original height/ position.
