Do you say, that I should select circle, take move tool and hover above edge, but no center point appears to me.

Hover for a couple of seconds on the circumference than move the tool on the surface towards the centre and a snap will appear.

Over surface and towards center. I C. It works.

Move tool +Ctrl and converting that into an array where /n adds copies equally spaced between the original and first copy [or with *n that adds copies after the first copy at the same spacing] - which is a technique that you should already know... because I explained it to you in another thread a few days ago ๐Ÿ˜’

??? Where did you speak about converting into array? I heard this first time.

I used to use guidelines only when I need to make copy of some guideline, I did not have need to copy it onto itself ever. Therefor I did not see sense in it.

    • Getting the circle midpoint inference

One more problem I would need to solve. I have the centerpoints now. I can draw circle. But if I subsequently want to copy it onto the centerpoints, how can I make the center point of circle(s) to "infer", during I ctrl+move? I mean that I don't see the centerpoints of circle when I drag it onto the target location.

What does mean the 2) and 3)? Why to do this? I did but I see no change. Should it be with "+" in ctrl mode or no "+"?

I tried. Maybe I just did not understand you but it is still hard to distinguish the ends of segments. You know I need to see them. ? How can you divide a guideline?

    • RE: Dividing an edge

I mean if it is possible to divide rectangle on 4 parts like that:

      ---------
      | | | | |
      | | | | |
      | | | | |
      ---------

Then I would just add a guideline on right place to get crossing

      ---------
      | | | | |
      +-+-+-+-+
      | | | | |
      ---------

Ah, I thought I saw it somewhere. But it seems it is not the best for me because I don't see the edges - crossing lines. Would it be possible to do with rectangle?

    • Dividing an edge

Do you have a tip how to divide line or rectangle on few piece with same size? Right now I would need to draw a line and divide it on 4 pieces. I am going to create pylons and I need to find positions for their center points (all pylons are same distance).

I've just used circle + line2tubes as you recommended. This was just try with the plugin I just downloaded, but I see it creates spaces when you try to make tube from circle.

I believe Nikola and me could use this plug-in for painting, texturing, not just spheres:

Thrupaint as part of Fredo tools.

It's awesome what various tools Fredo managed to develop! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

    • RE: Why I miss icon on Google bar?

I think the model will be extensive and will not suite GE criterions... As I understand street view project, they want the buildings to be as simple as possible. But in my project I try to do it as nice as possible. Hence my model will cost a lot of space (on disk).

    • RE: Texture

I've reinstalled ... Same as before. I also have no plugin menu.

      Edit:
Installation file contains bug which cannot install some files into path containing unicode characters. You could not have the same problem if you installed SU into default path. Now I reinstalled into different path containing no unicode strings. Well, I am not sure if "unicode" is problem, but charset problem is 100%.

Ah, then only solution would be to make the model higher, then it should be. Otherwise I could not make the moat there.

Rumcajs, remember that I explained to you how to grab a mesh with the colour imagery projected on it here?
      http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=425750#p425750

Sure, but the problem is that I must to remake the mash. I am not sure - will Google Earth let me create new mash into my model? Because I need make the mash lower - moat is bellow GE mesh level. Only good thing on importing Google mash is that I can find the water surface with it... And then I need to make my own mash. It is above 10-15 meters of elevation or so.
