However it's not so hard to select them. I find now that with fast triple click on face I can select it fast, because 6 times I need to select to select semi-circle. But I am not sure if this is the best method because if I want to resize the semi-cone with scale, so I have seen that the faces which was not selected moves texture position. On the other hand faces that was selected does not change texture position. So the result is a little bit inhomogenous.

RE: Drawing a cone
I watch the videos coz they seem good. You could give me that link for videos yesterday. I will remake a tower which is not exactly cycle. It is rectangle+semicircle, and that 12 lines looks ugly, The towers has been made so.

RE: Drawing a cone
I try to create cone with ark tool and I do not get a circle but polygon with cca 24 lines around. In this case, must I select every line by one, or is there any other option to fast the process? And does the ark tool always create polygons or is it just incident?

RE: Drawing a cone
Oh shit, I used wrong tool coz I though that F is for Follow me. And there is no hotkey for Follow me, pity. Now I draw it correctly. You can delete the post if you think I flood.

Drawing a cone
I've read the help here how to draw a cone
http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=114020
but not much successful with that.First method, well, I can find cardinal point, but I must click a lot and during that click the circle moves - changes it's original position so this is very frustating. The second method with follow tool does not work for me. First I select the circle with select tool. Then I sellect follow tool and click the surface of triangle. Then I drag, and there is a black circle on the surface of circle created. When I move towards surface this circle is less size. When I click so another circle is created. Or if I try to click on one of the color point in base of the triangle and then track also nothing.
Well I searched help file and forum but nothing basic helped me.

RE: Guidelines
Yes. I've learned to make guideline going out of line. But in this special case the line does not go out of the lines leading to top of the cone.

RE: Guidelines
OK, but what if I want to place a guide line onto top of cone? To describe the level or position on y axis.

Guidelines
Does Sketchup use guidelines? Often I have a need to make some line just for help, to remember position o point or line.

RE: Dimensions
Thanks guys. Beginner already explained it to me and I had understand it on second time. It just confused me when he said that I should not click purple points (I think he said it but cannot to check it now)...
Somebody could make animation for guide in next version of sketchUp

RE: Dimensions
Here it is.
http://www.4shared.com/file/mlzdxAnl/CHATEAU_scaled_preparing.htmlYou will see I have drawn some dimensions but they do not include the top of roof.
Yet let me know if can I change measures during changing entity size, scale or angle.

RE: Joinning lines
Thanks. Can I change also color of endpoints, but not change color of edges? Coz color of edges changed when I tried.

Hi folks.
You can find endpoints easily if you can see them.
Use the styles to show endpoints.
Just ideas.

Dimensions
I want to measure height of tower, but am not succesfull to measure its whole height. There is not center point in the base (and I dont know how to find it, not so simple). So when I start to draw dimension line from one corner of the base, I finish not at the top of the roof, but in the point where last floor begins. Why? Because if I would go on top of the roof - which is in middle, so the line will not be streight but would go to x axis. So I need to a way how to draw the "side line", that will point to top of the roof.
