This is the first post I've noticed that's getting nasty!
From this point on I wish to point out that being Irish requires me to remain neutral to any warmongering whether real or imaginary.

Hi Guys,
Here's a project i'm considering to build onto my garage. Have I gone overboard with the lumber sizes?
It's a WIP at the moment so any feedback is appreciated greatly
Thanks in advance
did you check out the post on textures?
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=486
It has great links to free and purchasable textures
Hi Coen,
Great work. Do you know if the design is used on the final game? I followed this game closely from its first showing as i was impressed at what they were trying to achieve so early in the PS3's life. I purchased the game on release and was very impressed, except for it's lenght.
I'd love to see if your design was implemented in the final game and how was it used?
Thanks for the replies and from your responses it seems the app is as useful as a waterproof teabag
Hi Steve,
Great site you got. Looking forward to some nifty uploads and advice
Rich
The reason i ask about a tutorial is because it'd be interesting to see what setting you used etc. As I'm some who is struggling to get to grips with VR, and there's very little out there that caters for beginners, i find that a detailed step by step approach to show how someone progresses through a project would benefit the noobs greatly. I've done the PDF manual that is on the VR website but find that it is limited in its approach and spends a lot explaining the simple things rather than how to apply settings to get desired effect!
But that said i have been called a dumb ass in the past and maybe rendering isn't for me????????
Hi Guys,
Has anyone tried the app available for the iPhone or iPod Touch that acts as a keyboard for SketchUp?
There's only one review one the App Store in my neck of the woods so more feedback would be appreciated if possible? I know its only a gimmick but i'm interested to see how it works, if it works at all?
It's looking very impressive so far, you should do a tutorial on it for novice Render Users.
Which Render program are you using anyway?
Hi,
What a wheel! Get it?
Check out the tutorials on the homepage for some nifty tips on improving your modeling.
Not to say it's bad but that's where I learnt first and i just keep my eye out for peoples different approach to the same workflow.
I'm still a novice though!!!
there's no shadows on the second image?
Other than that it's a creative post that would look even better with some styles applied
Looks good so far, but where's the escape tunnel?
What's the purpose of your project? Is the final render gonna be gritty and grimy with some nice textured tiles etc?
I'm interested to see final render so keep posting
Rgds

Hi BTM,
I installed this plugin but i've no 'Found' option in the Window Menu?
I downloaded the file 'SCF_Search.rb' to my desktop and then copied it to
'C:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 7\Plugins'
Have i done something wrong?
Hi Jay,
Do you upload your models on 3d Warehouse? Or are the components already designed on the 3d Warehouse by other users?
The reason i ask is because i'd like to see the robot models more closely. I didn't see any links on your site to view the models?
Other than that it's very impressive

Nice render, except for the lady smoking outside the medical centre!
Who does she think she is? She might as well be blowing smoke in the kids faces!
What's the problem with it been a SU 7 file? Do users prefer to save as SU 6 format? I'll provide more pics at some stage, but thanks for looking
Scratch that post and sorry for wasting your time
thanks Pilou
Hi Guys,
Is there any suggestion from members on which Plugins are a must for all SU Beginners or Internediate users? I spend most evenings ( and working day ) trawling this brilliant site to gather as much info as possible on any aspect of using SU more productively.
The tutorials are great and I realise for each user there is probably a plugin they couldn't live without.
But if you could spare 2 minutes to think of a plugin for noobs and list a link if you can i'd be forever grateful!
Hi Guys,
I don't submit models here too often as i find it intimidating amongst the modeling prowess that surrounds me
I've spent the last year designing and constructing every facet of it with SU6/7, and as well as learning the ropes with SU, I've also learnt bricklaying, roofing, electrics, plumbing etc.
It's still a work in progress and hopefully it will be finished by Xmas.
I think i've the only shed in the village with broadband and a killer sound system
