Hi guys,
Today at 1934 GMT Dylan O'Brien was born weighing 6lbs 9oz. He's my first child and the most amazing person i've ever met. Mother and baby are doing well and dad is exhausted. But I wanted to share with SCF members as it the best community on the web and will post pics on my site tomorrow.
I know I'm gushing like a bliddering idiot but the world needs to know!!!
Let the new adventure begin
excellent , thanks Gaieus
Hi Physicsguy,
Looking at your model, which is very impressive, i notice that you have no means of securing the wings to the fuselage( look at TIG's pic of Piper to see what i mean ). The force generated on the underside of the wing could easily rip the wing assembly from the crown of the aircraft. Also have you allowed for tabs on the wings to make it roll in flight? If not and it takes off how will it fly back to you?
I've a small amount of experience with building models ( a lot of experience in fixing the real thing like Boeings and Airbus). That doesn't make me an expert but it something that stood out when i looked. Hope this helps and that she'll grace the skies soon
hello again,
watch this video from 'The SketchUp Show'
It might help

hope it helps and i'm sure there are even more tutorials around than this
Great looking plugin but it's a bit pricey. Personally I've no use for it but hopefully it'll gather support for those who need it.
On the advertising comment by kwistenbiebel, hopefully they'll be interested to help fund a great site like this by coming aboard.
Hi,
Noticed this while browsing iTunes

Hi,
Thanks for the info, it worked alright but now that i know laptop is not much use for modelling larger models i'm gaining leverage for the boss (herself) to get me a new one!!
Anyone got suggestions on which laptop is good for modelling on? That's within โฌ700 or so
Hi Guys,
Here's my Laptops Specs
Dell Latitude D400
Intel Pentium M 1700MHZ Processor
1GB Ram
Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller
40GB HDD
Recently while modeling the house below i experience display issues
I've each part Grouped and on its own layer but when i attempt to add interior walls to existing interior walls artifacts appear and faces vanish? Also no indication appears on any face when is use select tool or push/pull etc. And at time SU will push/pull the adjacent face?
Here's an example of the issue
And here's my system preferences
Recently i've installed some plugins but i don't know if that is the issue? All my drivers are up to date as i've DriverMax 5 installed and it keeps it up to date on a daily basis.
Any ideas or advice?
Do you mean you have to search for good and free textures?
Or you have good textures to offer for free?
Sorry thomthom i must have been typing while you were
Hi,
Did you purge your model to remove unused components, textures etc.?
Great Link and super use of native tools.
I agree with Solo (about plugins not drugs!!)
Oooops! Sorry for the hassle and thanks for the help
Hi Guys and Gals,
