okey dokey, shall we say noon on monday?
WIP's throughout, as much detail as possible and at least two renders.
sound fair?
think anyone else is interested? lol

yeah mouse sounds like a bit of a plan.
shall we just set a time limit on it, rather than a quickie, it can be something we can dip in and out of through the day.
what do you think?
pav
that is really nice, and exceptionally realistic too!
2hrs isn't bad for that though is it, actually that seems pretty quick given the amount of reflection and geometry.
pav
was worth it though remus, that looks really nice, i am impressed.
so what shall we do next as our little model quickies then?
feel free to join in peeps!
pav
happy birthday!
you sneaky lil sod, letting that one go without saying anything!
hope you have had a good one.
pav
thanks remus.
by all means give it a go! didn't really have the time to experiment with the renders enough.
is very interesting due to the levels of reraction in the diamond, which by the way was the hardest bit to draw! ha ha
pav
little lunchtime modelling for you again people.
lil diamond ring for you, rendering isn't all that, but it was more a test of my handle of geometry.
admittedly the polycount should have been higher, my bad.
have also uploaded the skippy if anyone wants to have a go.
enjoy

i like it, it is well modelled, well rendered.
reminds me of that car from the thunder cats. always wanted one of them
awesome
pav
anyone else smell that?
horse?
no, dog?
no, cat?
no wait up...
definitely bull-s**t
he he
pav
firstly,m spot on solo.
secondly, it does take time to get good for sure (i'm still at a very basic level)
i think to key is to not run before you can walk.
test every setting on your renderer out, using a few models, and i mean EVERY setting, that way you will learn all the features.
i think that remus has been doing this? correct me if i am wrong.
trial and error, that is the key.
oh and also, if there is a term you don't understand, then look it up straight away.
i started my own little glossary in a word document, with the name of the term, a quick description, and (most importantly) a link to where i got the imformation for my future reference.
hope this was helpful.
now go give it a go!

there was a case a few years back, of a drunk man who went into a bank and paid in one of those fake cheques you get from companys through the post, as an advertisement.
as luck would have it, the cashier was new to the job, and paid the check into his account (for a grand total of $90,000)
apparently, despite having "this is not a cheque" written on it, it IS still valid due to some loophole.
the company took him to court, and lost, you'll be happy to hear that he gave all the money to charity (after removing his legal fees)
how awesome is that?
i'll try to find the link.

that is what you get when you mix too much free time with an amazingly vivid imagination.
I LOVE IT!
pav
he he, i did, i used number 10 (medium-caustics +aa 0.3) or something like that.
maybe i did something wrong?
any more advice?
thanks for your help!
pav
set this one to render while i was in a meeting.
a lot better than the first one i think.

This used to be my strategy:
- Get up at 9-10-ish (if you can).
- Start studying and try to keep doing it at least until a buddy calls you.
- Go to the pub and drink with him/them.
- Go to bed late at night. (the booze simply soaks the knowledge into your head).
The very last day before exam however (with about 2/3 of the material left)
- Get up at 9-10-ish (if you can).
- Start studying and try to keep doing it at least until a buddy calls you.
- Go to the pub and drink with him/them.
- Don't go to bed at all but keep learning till the mornig (make sure to clean your teeth before the exam - a shower may help as well)
WOW
you have spelt your name wrong. after the "g" there should be an "enuis"
