just KT, i was going to give it a blast in artlantis, but seeing as the export button was already there it seemed a shame no to use it!
just been trying out a ring with rounded edges, my god the poly-count is high after i add detail!
heres a lil render of one, again in KT.

finally got around to trying out fred's method for creating TIN rings.
didn't realise quite how powerful this method is until i tried it out, it has definitely opened up new doors for me with sketchup (just wish i had tried it earlier!)
so thank you very much fred, like i said before...legend.
here is an example of my quick little experiment, nothing new to the forum, but i thought i'd share anyway.
enjoy

i think that the roof ruby has a reature whereby you can select a face and you can chose to display the degree of the slope, and the ratio.
any help?
pav
WOW
that is very tidy.
i'm running atlantis R, but i'm not getting results anywhere near that!
well done, and thank you for sharing
pav
check this out, i think this thread is fairly useful and looks to answer most of your questions.

lets start a new forum, we can call it the ATDVSCF
(i.e. the All Three Dimensional Visualisation Software Comunnity Forums)
i think it will catch on...

(first the really bad one)
i was walking through my local town yesterday, when a man jumped on me, pinned me to the floor, cut the bottom of my trousers off and threw them into the local library.
that was a turn-up for the books
(my favourite one next)
why don't boxers have sex before a fight?
they don't fancy each other.
apologies for both of those
pav
solo, that is nutty, loving your work.
this is exactly the kind of thing i am struggling to do at the moment.
are there any decent tuts of this on here as i can't seem to find one.
if not...would you mind doing a quickie? pretty please with a cherry on top.
cheers dude
pav

firstly thank you vert much for your help guys, what you have said really makes sense.
daniel, i have no intention of cutting my degree short, i actually really enjoy all of the uni work, it's fun and challenging, plus like you said, quitting now would be stupid.
i just don't think architecture is for me, the firm i work for is amazing, we do some cool things, and all of my colleagues are cool too, it's just i don't think it is what i want to do. maybe it is just a phase, i'm not sure!
it's definitely a hard one, i know i am going to finish the degree, just not sure i want to do the job! he he
thank you both for your help, you have made me think very differently about the situation that is for sure.
pav
been thinking long an hard recently abou what i want to do as a career.
i am currently doing a degree in architecture, and in september i shall complete the final year of my degree.
the problem i have, is that since i have been working in industry, i really don't think that i will be happy as an architect, i'm just not enjoying it as much as i thought i would.
HOWEVER i have realised recently (and it has been a bit of a revalation!) that i am seriously interested in 3d modelling and graphics. i think it is something that i would definitely enjoy a career in (enjoyment is the most important thing for me)i am getting more and more confident in my modelling abilities as the weeks go on, but i'm not sure if i really am cut out for it.
obviously it would be foolish to just quit my degree, i am going to finish it, but has anyone got any advice for me about this situation i'm in? anyone been in a situation similar and if so what did you do?
everyone on this forumk is so helpful, and supportive i figured i would start by gauging your opinion!
any comments are welcomed!
thank you in advance
pav
that is brlliant solo, very impressed! you have done my little quickie proud!
thank you very much

But where would I then put my television toilet paper holder?
can't it go under the microwave toilet paper holder, or failing that next to the pinball toilet paper holder.
