Another example. Say I will create a student musuem in Language arts. Then I will place some historical models in the in the SketchUp scene. When the student click the material or maybe the whole component. then an embedded Link is there. You can find more information about this material or component.

Plugin Idea: Image Link to URL
dear thomthom, tig, dale and other plugin gurus..
After attending the conference for 21st century classrooms, I never realize the potential of sketchup in education. With this it gave me an idea on how to further explore the possibility of Sketchup with education.
I hope you can develop a pluggin where there is possibility to embed a clickable URL on a texture or component. When you hover the mouse to a material, texture or component, you have an option to go to a link of website..
Say for example I created a material (painting of Monalisa) then embed a url there, you hover the mouse for example on an image and then you have the option to go to a pre-defined URL by the user. This is useful when a student want to know more info about the painting, then you can go to the URL link related with Monalisa.

I probably like the second one, simply because I really don't like faux watercolours etc but it's just a personal thing. I can still see the beauty in them though and number one from that respect is very good!
thanks richard i can see your point. -

I like the render. Very cool.
Can you please share how you did the trees and foliage. I'm currently on the hunt for material to do some landscaping and natural environments.
the palms are 3d. the foliage and trees behind is just a background image. because of su limitation in memory i just use 2d images in my bg. nothing special maybe.

Mugorots
Mug of Igorots. Igorots are one of the native Filipinos. They are known with their artistic work and craftsmanship. They do lots of sculptures and use elongated human forms like the Afrikans... I did a lot of their scultures in sketchup. I decided to re-create a simple mug. Let me coin it as "mugorots" Mug of Igorots.
Let me show my work with it.
