Give this a try. Go to pref under SU menu and select Workspace reset workspace has worked for me before.

Edit You tried that didn't see that.

I have a Mac Pro and a Macbook Pro that I share docs and such between the two. I was away from my network today working on a floor plan and saved the file and it came up with a message that I don't remember now what it said but remember it asked to Save anyway ? So now the icon related to the skp. file looks like this.

I've been using this for awhile and love it. Quit all apps it's made with automator which I would like to learn more about but not very much out there as far as tutorials but thought I would share.

These problems are not SU 2013 or SU 8 on Lion or Mavericks as I have had no problems with crashes on either one. It could be the model itself (try doing a basic model and see what happens) I really believe they are machine problems i.e graphics card or check "Verify disk permission in Disk utility.If your not sure how to do that post a response.

So what kind of Mac are you using Mac Pro, laptop?

Excellent renders to all. Just a quick question if I may. Are the backgrounds HDR's and are they ones that came with the individual render programs or did they come from outside source. I use Kerkythea because it's just a hobby and the HDR's off the KT site always look blurry and and not as good as the one's I see many using here.

Use styles, edit your style include endpoints and color by axis so you make sure you don't have stray lines. This a shot from a Mac but Win is simular.

As far as design goes Apple has always been a leader. If you own an apple product you know what i mean. IMHO
