You can see dimensions of face in VCB box or now called measurements box if you have it showing. but only while your drawing the face. you can also enter dim. in that box separated by a , but maybe u knew that already.

RE: Square to round transition
Fredo6's curviloft plug in would be pretty easy

you could then push-pull the ends to make them a flange of sorts. -
RE: Drafting Table Render
Real nice Dave. I like them both you do great at those styles. How long to render and what preset did you use? or a customized setting. I was having trouble with a wood floor material in KT rendering correctly and found a tutorial or question on KT forum that helped. In KT click on the material and go to edit material, left click on diffuse opens up texture editor left click on small thumbnail for material opens bitmap options, change projected from UV to cubic did it for me. I'm pretty new to KT and still learning so forgive me if I'm way off base here.

RE: Dimensions in SketchUp don't stay in position
That's strange to say the least. Maybe the group wasn't open for edit I don't know but I did figure out how to fix it.
I exploded group and went to edit- select all and regrouped it now their were you want. You may have your own reason for putting dim. in group but I would add a layer for dim. to show or hide them. You could group dim. if you wanted. On more complex models that would be they to do best. In layering I learned to name dim. with a z- in layer name so they showed up in layers list at bottom good reasoning behind that also.

RE: Housebuilder Plugin
I've had this problem too before, on old computer and did figure it out but been so long ago can't remember. Getting a new computer and installing Su and plugins got this problem again. Downloaded D. Bur's latest
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=1518 right click error ping after installing plugin all rb. and subfolders where they should. So deleting HB plugin and running Su no right click error ping. Downloaded original from Ruby depot by S. Hurlbut start up SU and ping is back. Conflict in plugins somewhere for now just muting computer but I can't listen to I tunes while modeling what a bummer. Maybe someone will be able to come up with an answer. -

Every day on my long commute to work, I look at structural things, and say to myself," I can do that in SU "

You've spent tooooooo much time in Sketchup when ?
I thought a topic of this sort might go along with the Dah post but not sure where to put it.
After spending most of the day in SU I found myself in a browser using my scroll wheel trying to zoom and rotate an image, maybe some day. -
RE: New user
You've found best place on the internet for SU. Welcome and feel free to to ask anything or contribute what you have learned many folks to help

RE: [Tutorial] How to redefine a component thumbnail
That's very useful thanks. Wasn't sure what the "expand" meant as I save components a lot and some are nested.

RE: Component browser gone corrupt
Maybe try downloading SU again and choose to repair, Did you use a registry cleaner? maybe messed it up. Also tell what OS your using.

First render using KT
Ok so I've gotten to the place where I am getting some good models in SU and want to start rendering like all the really cool renders I've seen in the gallery. So I started using Kerkythea with they're SU plugin. So I've read lots of getting started PDF's and other tutorials and this is my first after a week of using it but still not where I want to be. The folks at KT are very helpful but I consider this forum my place to be get help. Lots to be improved on my end but I wanted to share it with some experts and get some feed back.
Thanks Walt

RE: Help please - how to get rid of ruby button
I did like the way it would check for updates, very handy, I wish all were that way, but many don't need to be. and I think well of the way he provided this for his scripts shows meticulous manner. It did notice it popup more often than every 15 days but I am glad it is as I use them a lot thanks Fredo6.
PS just wondering if some have installed a script that makes a "bing in WIN XP if you select or delete a edge or face" had this problem before but couldn't remember how to work a round?

Nested groups, components or what
I'm working on a Chippendale Tallboy since I saw Tim Killen at Design,Click and Build model a ball and claw leg and used Dave R's fan for some added features. So I'm doing the dovetail drawers making the parts components (copy, flip and such) but I want to move, copy as a group or nested component? I want to latter use Cutlist to manage my parts correctly not sure what is better for Cutlist and file size?
Thank's

RE: Antsirabe railway station
Very nice job. I like old train stations. My Grandfather worked for the Santa Fe railroad and my Dad was an architect so I am partial to the old stations architectural styles.
Nice render.
