Sorry mate, I just wonder what the point of duplicating all my files is all about. This has only happened in 2019 and only really since the .3 edition, nothing like this before and I do not appreciate the mucking about. The idea of putting the files on drive 'D' is to save memory on drive 'C', it is an internal hdd direct to the mother board. BTW, the answer is no. Having moved my files to the 'C' drive I still cannot import SKP. I think I must be getting two tuesday's this week. I hope only two anyway.

Is your second HDD built in or is it networked or connected in some other possibly intermittent connection. The most common reason for corrupt files is saving your file to anywhere that isn't totally local, even a local folder that syncs to dropbox/one drive/network etc has the potential to kill your file. Basically a file can try to sync while it is trying to save, causes a clash and your file is effectively gone. So make sure you save locally and sync/backup manually.

The additional geometry is really things like coplanar faces--removing the uneeded edge dividing them, and stray edges--depending on the settings you have made for Cleanup3. It's good to use the tool as you model before you create too many extra edges etc, and avoid modeling that does so. SketchUp doesn't make the extra edges, though plugins might (such as SandBox). I would turn off the CleanUp purge functions and do the purges in the Model Info window. See if that helps. I find CleanUp3 to be so slow as to be unusable in larger models in v2019, regardless of the cleanup job or selection. It is often faster to cleanup the model on my own. It seemed to work fine in 2016. I've never tried 2017. Haven't heard of multiple instances of the application opening.

I have several families of Badgers that visit the estate, several of them will come very close, one of the adults and several of the young cubs will climb up my shins to see what I have for them. The adult (Nicknamed Marmite from the advertisement on TV) can be quite cheeky, taking bits of porridge from the pot to get at the peanuts. I will not get over the sense of entitlement most humans have over this planet, we have to share it and be responsible for our waste/impact on it. Is it not better for us too? Monsanto for one would destroy huge parts of our ecology for profit but they are far from the only ones.

Yes it could, and should, thanks for that. I get a bit target fixated sometimes and was thinking about continuity with the stair opening at the time. The girl is waiting for a cab, or just got out of one and got into her new student place. Both fit for me.
