Thanks mate, trying the dappled leaf's suggested by Fletch, it might make more difference when I learn how to do it better. The idea is to have a png of leaves outside the window to give dappled light through the window, the version here is one 'pane' over the two windows. Thanks very much folks, there is actually an opening in the wall, no window, just the hdri image.

Thanks, I replaced the component completely and the issue is no longer apparent. Seems the component was in some way compromised.

The stretched glass turns out to be a field of view problem, thanks to Fletch for that info. I have tried an outside render with a different hdri to see what happens. [image: ELsK_1811920p2h16mIrR.jpg]

Thanks mate, I am a contrary bugger tho'. The 360 degree light is a 40 watt emitter and is the majority of the light. I have a further render using additional lighting via a three petal sky portal. I'm quite happy with the studio setup. It took quite a bit of testing but simple works best in the end. [image: 352t_7922p1h47mAIr16000aR.jpg]
