Masta, See, the transfer of the Newbie Forum was not totally useless. Have a look at the very first post here (a reply to your very last post at the old board) after the transfer has finished.

On this side of the world 2 years ago was the first snowfall in almost 40 years (and i was out), so i don't think i will see snow this year, but on the plus side last month was almost still summer.

actually i figured out that its just an incredibly strange problem with moire (sp?) it depends entirely on the position of the camera as to where the odd stretching effect occurs. But for the moment i have the model hung up, i lost a bit of motivation on it for the time being. Ill get it back on my next day off, but right now its work all dang week.

I can ask Clipi and Tomasz what they think. Perhaps Giannis will take a peek, it would be good to get confirmation. I've only used KT since last October. It doesn't take long to become proficient, but then I had several years rendering experience before that (like 10yrs) and I took to KT like a duck in gold water. Try HDR lighting, it's instantaneous, and you'll like it. Check my latest WIP on the KT forum. to see a building with HDR lighting on it. Then I just mask render in the background (there's a tut. for d/l on the KT home page download sections if you don't know how this is done.) keep up the great work!

Thats what im saying, learn the hard way first so you can understand how its done. That way if there is a problem you understand what us going on with the model and have an idea of where to look.

Well I have the monitor... And from what it seems, i can display 1440x900. At least the nvidea tools let me set it without any problem. SO I guess the 5500 series cards can handle widescreen? Oh well, im off to see if i can fix some issues with small text. Im not used to running 1440x900. It seems like it is tryign to display half pixels almost on some of the text... particularly in the address bar on FF. It makes parts of the letter appear in a bold white while other parts of the same letter seem faded out. Maybe I am not really at 1440x900? You woul think it would display fine, or is this an issue you guys have came across? On the other hand SU is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better like this. By all means please keep up the transfer. Its something most people would be unwilling to do, so dont let me get in your way. I wont even bother making the suggestion in the proper forum until I find out that you guys are done with the move.

Thanks "Maggy Van Nistelrooy", you are my new hero. It did just as good of a job in 3 minutes automatically what took me more than 2.5hrs manually in Pshop.

Hi Masta, If you haven't already done so, I suggest that you download the Getting Started tutorial for KT 2007... For materials, I recommend that you download the Kerkythea Material Editor Guide for KT2007... Hope this helps...
