How about "Fresh Air for Sketchup"?

How about "Fresh Air for Sketchup"?

I'm also very much in favor of this and most new tools being Pro only as the gap between Pro and Free version is not large enough IMO... I'm perfectly willing to support Sketchup financially and will continue to do so, hopefully tools like this will convince others that it is in their interests to do likewise.
BTW, I love Layout and certainly see it as a software that can develop into a legitimate application worthy of the license fee by itself over the next few versions... but for now it is nice to see the Pro users getting some much needed love from the Google Dev team.

Thank-you for these awesome tools -- I use the free version now but plan to purchase the full version in the near future

Thank-you
I'm getting ready to UV map/unwrap and texture several variations in ZBrush -- I'll post those as I go.

I've seen digital LED type DC's on here that would be a variation of what Tig is talking about...
You can set the text the user sees in the DC Options, and you can set an "alert" onclick function for any component -- and for that matter you can export that information as a spreadsheet... but getting text in Sketchup space seems to require more than DC can give in their current form.

The toolbar doesn't load on my system anymore either -- it could be a issue with Sketchup 8 or is could be they messed up something in the newest drivers.

Without seeing the file I'd say it sounds like a bug.

There is also a very nice package of ready made brushes from John Derry that can help with similar effects here:

These examples you've posted are some of the best watercolor examples from Painter I've seen -- very natural and I would be hard pressed to see the Sketchup beneath

One thing to bear in mind is you should be bringing the DC into your Sketchup file through the component browser -- if you open it as a regular Sketchup file you may get unexpected behavior or it may not work (depending on how it was built).

You can speak directly to the plugin author on the Sketchup section of the Maxwell forums:

You are already more than good enough for Sketchup -- better hardware will help very little.

Looks great Richard!
I love Layout as well

This is alot more advanced than Mapzone(which is still a cool tool).
Here's a marketplace for substances made in the Substance Designer application:
http://www.turbosquid.com/Substance
The thing to remember here is each substance can be varied to thousands of material variations with a few moves of a slider... once you've built the substance it becomes a "on the fly" texture generator for you.
This is particularly useful in game and film texture design.

They may not have made alot of money here but they dramatically increased their marketshare and they will more than make up the difference when it comes time to upgrade to V6... very savvy strategy.

BTW, I have a problem with Chrome not playing the sample videos -- just right click and chose "save as" to download them to your machine and play them from there.

I own SDS, Bool Tools, and Profile Builder from you -- all great tools (although I use the solid tools in 8 instead of Bool Tools now). I will most certainly be buying this as soon as you make it available to upgrade
Love the paint brush and sculpting features in particular.
